<DIV>Hello friends,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Wondering if anyone could help me understand just how much improvement selecting Aqueous Swarm as my lvl 54 master II choice would be over using the adept1 version of the spell?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does the master version have more fish ?  Does it include more powerful fish?  etc...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Only thing Master II brings to the table is more damage.Frankly, you'll get far more benefit out of Aggravate Master II unless you're lucky enough to get the Master I. 51% melee haste and +170 INT to your pet is <I>extremely</I> difficult to pass up.

<DIV> <DIV>Aqueous Swarm will only have more damage per fish (amount of fish does not change), and even then I am not seeing much improvement.  I bought the Master I (Master II went to Aggravate), and I really can't see any huge apparent differences over the Adept I in DPS.   Think I've read in a few places swarm pets are not currently scaling much, if at all, in upgrades.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Aggravate as Master II is the way to go IMO....huge improvements.  </DIV></DIV>

<DIV>I too am also primarily a soloist</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Most of the time solo I have the tank pet up with defensive stance...  so is it the consensus out there that with master2 Aggravate, usage of the the air pet is feasible while solo?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thx</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I think if you're a general solo specialist - so you're after XP solo but also want to do quests solo as far as possible and enjoy taking down big bad heroics solo... then tank pet is often the pet of choice - although air pet does come out to play at times.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For myself, I reckon I make faster solo XP by chomping through white/yellow heroics than I do eating small solo stuff with the air pet in offense. But more importantly I have way more fun doing it because I enjoy the challenge and the battle.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Other people will prefer to just point and shoot the air pet and not have to worry too much about risk or their own contribution. It's easier in terms of effort - but I'd like it less for myself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's really a question of playstyle - and it's one of the good things about conjurors that there is such a variety of approaches I think. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>X</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I solo almost exclusively with aery in offensive, including single encounter ^^^ heroics.  The only time I use myrm is when I am fighting a group of heroics solo.  I just don' think there is any dispute that for exp or questing, the aery pet just mows through mobs.<div></div>

Immediately cast Aqueous Swarm, Pyrotechnic, Fiery Doom and maybe Swarm of Bats (if you have time for Swarm without getting hit).  Now start casting Shattered Earth and send pet in at the same time.  Consul (or any mob) will immediately agro the pet 100% of the time (major dps from the pet).  As soon as you land Shattered, wait a second or two and begin casting Harden.  As soon as Harden is about to wear off, back the pet off.  By this time the mob should be just about dead.  Nuke or toss in any recycled dots to finish him off.  The mob will still be agroed on your pet and chasing after him so you can actually run up and hit him with Quake if you want.90% of my spells are adept 3 (I pretty much followed the Summoner's Tower for the adept 3 upgrade path plus some others).  My only Master is the M2 offensive training buff.Anyone have any suggestions for improvements to this?  It works very well.<p>Message Edited by Mordith on <span class=date_text>12-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:57 PM</span>

<P>Picked up Frigid Winds Master on Broker last night - I figured it was a good buy since it can also be used on Epic mobs ( at least there is no " Does not affect Epic targets " or " If mob is not Epic " notes on the Spell Description)</P> <P>I use this spell a lot so try to get any spell I use all the time at Master if I see the chance.<BR></P> <BLOCKQUOTE> <BLOCKQUOTE> <P><BR> </P> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE><BR>Thanks for the guide.  I'm still 55, so no Frigid Winds for me yet.  Maybe I'll revisit when I ding. <BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE> <P><BR> </P>

FYI - The Frigid Winds spell does "NOT" work on epic targets  (ie, x2,x3,x4) regardless of what the spell says. The dot works but it will not slow the mob.<div></div>
