Conjurer Then and Now

the class is great to play and great alt to start or make a 2nd main but doen't any who played in eq 1 miss the ablity to actually summon on spot items like arrows, focus items, food, armour, [Removed for Content] weapons. not a bad class if played right but noticed we really aint desired in groups unless theres no wizard ect around, damage shield, power stone, weapon proc is all i see useful within group and even then only one person within group can get damage shield, 2 people weapon proc the most. they should give pet ablity to weild weapons,summoned,, or bought off broker< help remove the thousand low level weapons clean up market a bit, or in zone, no value no rent utility items, like the water stone,arrows focus items

No, seriously, you have met alot of groups that prefer a Wizard over a Conjuror? Me, never since the Combat Changes. Both are deeply sought after, and I very often get groups invite when my LFG tag is up when waiting for a raid group. Both Wiz and Conj can output some sick damage, and most group will try to get both if they can. I even often get requests to be main tank of a group that cannot find a real Tank class.<BR><BR></P>

No kidding. Conjurors are extremely versatile, and its nice that our pets are appreciated for more than just damage <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>Put it this way.....Now since I got EQ Companion parser (yes Xalmat a plug <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ) At level 44, I am able to provide a group consistently 120-140 dps. BTW, that is not pet damage either. I had that parsed out. Now since I finally got the master def stance, the only time I had a health problem was those pesky tiggers in Oasis (I had 2 controlled and a third pounced on me.) I can either solo or group cause I do even more damage especially when I can throw out a dps pet. </P> <P>As in EQ1 conjurors (yes I got mine to 62 before leaving the game and letting my bro continue his saga). Equiping or selling equipment was good, especially to necros (hee hee). Conjurors are great and sought after in groups, excellent for small groups, very powerful solo and just all round excellent. To top it all though, we're apparently due another pet revamp in LU18 which looks like adding some cool stuff too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm sure there's stuff that people could improve and make a case for... but nothing we really "need". Having played wizard and conjuror both quite a bit, I not only prefer to play conjuror but would sooner have another in group than a wizard.  For many reasons.
