This has come up many times before, but I've not seen it ever answered. Is it Conjurer or Conjuror? Here're the discrepancies:Current Forum: Conjurer (http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board?board.id=29)In-game: Conjuror (try doing /who all conjurer and /who all conjuror)EQ2 Players Profile: Conjuror (http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=211832104)Patch Notes: Conjurer (http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=tup&message.id=94#M94)EQ2 Players Class Guide Flash Thingy: Conjurer (http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/classes/index.vm)EQ2 Players Class Guide Spell List: Conjurer in banner, Conjuror in list (http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/classes/index.vm)So.... which is it? Edit:On the EQ2 Players Class Guide Spell List, the level list contains Conjuror, but the spell descriptions contain Conjurer. Example:Conjuror 42Conjuror's Signet An augmentation for the conjurer's summoned minion that grants it a chance to decrease an enemy's cold and heat resist every time it attacks or receives damage.:tidE
Message Edited by Sol-the-Wise on 12-14-2005 11:27 AM

It's .... uh ... Conjur...'er....um....-er...or...um...-or....? I dunno - they SOUND the same, but I would think it would be ConjurER, as in "one who conjures" stuff - just my 2c. J Wellington Wells

Technically they are both perfectly valid variations on spelling the word. I think perhaps the OP's point is that SOE should just pick one and use it consistently and I agree. I used to be partial to Conjurer but I'm pretty ambivalent now about which one to use. I just wish they would pick something. Actually, what picks my .... even more is that I live in a "Luxery" apartment in Qeynos Harbor. That's just a blatant mis-spelling of the the word - Luxury. SOE makes games; spelling and grammar are obviously not their forte.

Well lets break down the word:

Conjuror/Conjurer: pronunced: Kong'Jurer

Kong from the African Island that houses a BIG ape (much like our small purple monkey)

Juror from the latin to sit in judgement.

So it should be Conjuror which means Big purple ape that sits in judgment of anything that is mean to the person doing the summoning.

Can you tell I have TOOOO much time on my hands at work today?

Perhaps we should switch to "Conjurator" (and for the ladies, "Conjuratrix") ?
