Im just checking in if anyone else has noticed our water swarmpets are now casting an AOE(one that hits anything in the area not encounter specific) cold effect called Tidal wave. If any developers would care to comment if this change is intentional or not, as I keep being hit with adds.

Actually i was just about to post this. Necros have it as well. When a necro casts Swarm of Rats they are using "Parasite Infection" which is pulling AOE aggroWhen a summoner casts a fish spell they are using "Tidal Wave" which is pulling AOE aggro

According to Lockeye, it's an unintended change. Expect it to get fixed soon.

I dont think any of us thought it was an intended change. But good to hear it will get fixed. You just get so darned used to using the same spells over and over. And having to compensate for the loss of that one was rough tonight.

The AEs aren't intended? Or they were simply intended to be encounter based?

I was mentoring a friend in RV and we kept getting adds. Now I know who the culprit was. Bad, bad pet! ~Mahs Munchkins of Mayhem

For conjurors it have been Group AoE from the fire pet, and single damage from the lil fishes. Maybe that is why i was killing the stuff in the group encounter so fast.

That explains the fun I had in Maj'Dul -- Sent the fish after the Palace Sweeper, and had a lot of Maj'Dul citizens join the fray.. woops

Just to clear up something, the aoe thats causing the problems is called dooming depths, for my 45 conjur using master 1 aqueous it was doing 150-160 dmg every 2-3 seconds for 4 ticks to everything nearby. Not so fun.

Tidal wave is also an aoe, but it seems to be encounter only....and i pray they don't remove it, simply amazing if you really pay attention...

Rathen

45 conjur Steamfont

I was talking about the 24 master 2 ones....still a little young to use the real powerful sharks

But anyone know when the eta is to fix it...Xalmat can you ask nice....If I ask they will keep it that way just for spite

I think God told SOE that he hates me, so SOE believes it is ok to hate me as well.
