<DIV>I'm level 23, next level i'm gettin my Tellurian Soldier, i already have the Adept 3 in my bank and i'm currently using the Tellurian Recruit Adept 3 at the moment.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is it normal that i'm having LOTS of difficulty in Thundering Steps with the level 23 (adept 3) Spider ? Seems like everything takes forever to kill compared to Antonica. Just killing level 22 bears is a huge pain, just one and my pet loose almost half is health and that's with me helping it casting all kind of spells (and btw most of them are either Adept 1 or 3).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would like to know if the level 24 (adept 3) Soldier is a good improvement over the spider, cause right now it's really pathetic.</DIV>

<div></div>Makes sense to me that mobs, even L22 low-level mobs for TS, would take longer to kill than mobs in Antonica. Antonica is tier 2 and TS is tier 3. Mobs in TS are higher level (even the "yard trash") and tougher than in Antonica (generally). And, if I remember correctly, those bears in TS hit very hard for their level when I was at your level - doesn't surprise me that they're hurting your spider. As for whether the upgraded tank pet is better than it predecessor - I'd have to say yes. You made a smart investment having an Adept III ready to go for you when you earn the new pet. You'll be very happy with it. Of course, it's not going to be the source of your dps, though - as a tank pet it won't have much of that. Just go with your water and fire dumb pets (from behind the mob if possible to keep them alive as long as possible) and dot the heck out of the enemy. Also good to have defensive buff, summoner's mark or whatever it's called at your level, and damage shield and such (Fireseed and Fireshield I think) up on on your pet. With an Adept III pet and an Adept III or Master II defensive buff up you should rock against those bears. Have fun with your new big stone guy. Excellent pet. <P>The bears have no downgrades and sometimes even one upgrade, so they are harder then most normal solo mobs with a downgrade .. i would suggest for faster exp kill blue mobs with a downgrade like crabs, beetles, falcons ... and later go to the fields before varsoon and kill the skellies <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </P> <P>Ahh .. wait .. starting with 25 when you get shattered ground you can take down easy the gnoll groups with 3 downgrades in the crater before thundermist village .. you only have to be carfull if a group with a tripple upgrade spawns :smileytongue:</P>

Hell yes! Even though you will only be only level higher you can let your pet trash those bears and carry on your business. I got my AptIII as soon as I levelled and the difference will make your life a heck of a lot easier. I'm in EL with mine at the moment taking on mobs 3-4 levels above me with mine <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<DIV>At that level I recommend you make a water breathing stone and go off the coast in TS killing groups of blue/white/yelllow non-heroic sirens. Its good fast xp, and the pet takes it in his stride, just make sure you get the most from your AOEs, and dont forget to make another stone every 30 minutes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>The only problem with the stone is that you forget about it, you go and make a cup of coffee and come back to a drowned corpse because it ran out. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Aadarin on <span class=date_text>11-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:52 AM</span>

However i can't remember that i had big problems with my old pet in EL .. but i also killed mostly crabs for Brent Ormanus as long as they were still blue :smileyvery-happy:
<DIV>Let me give you two secret killing places....got me from 19-27 in 3 days (6hrs playing).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The skeletons at the entrance...they are lvl 20 average....You get a bonus killing the group. and after you clear four groups fast enough a fifth group pops. After you kill them, a chance a heroic group pops. Do this..there are 3 sets you can work on. BTW, before my adept 3 mudman, I had an app4 beatle. I was able to rack in the exp big time. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The next place is Ruins of Karana. kill the skeletons. I was and am able to slaughter the mobs including con yellow, The orange I was able to kill most of the time, but they resited like a Mo Fo. I worked from the ruins of varsoon to the back entrance to varsoon. You might just spend one-two levels clearing to to varsoons, but just send in pet have him run back after aggro and slaughter the mob, rinse and repeat. Most of the time I was chain pulling 10-15 mobs take a 2 minute rest and back at it. </DIV>

<P>Yes the back entrance of varsoon where the glimmer goblins are. </P> <P> </P> <P>Well most of my nukes, stuns stiffles and dots are app4...the pets and heals are adept 3. Once you get to 24 get the aquaeous master 2...those be big sharks and thresh what ever to pieces in a moment. Most times in a pull I use that one out of every 2 pulls because of the retimer.</P>
