Why are we one of the only classes that doesn't have a spell list sticky and why do we not have a pet name thread like the necros do? I know! It is cause I am inherantly lazy..... thats it..... Flame me! It is my fault.... no but seriously, where is our spell list sticky? <div></div>

<P>Those necromancer stickies didn't just appear out of thin air, it took someone deciding they'd like to see something cool and made a post about it which a dev saw and floated.</P> <P>Generally though, most conjuror stuff you'd like to see is already at Xalmat's site... I'm sure he'll be along shortly to give the web addy.</P>

thats exactly my point...... there is an  <i>external site </i>but not an <i>internal sticky</i>.  I aplaud the efforts of Xalmat they have made a momentous resource..... but there isn't a quick reference <i>here.</i> I will develop one this weekend if I have a chance.  Please.... my above post was intended to get you <i>attention</i> not to insight <i>flames. </i>Thanx all for reading this.... but I think this needs addressing and not as a link to an external site. Here's Xalmat's simple <A href="http://eq2.eqsummoners.com/viewtopic.php?t=192" target=_blank>list</A> of spells with descriptions.  Also has personal trait choices. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here is his <A href="http://eq2.eqsummoners.com/viewtopic.php?t=1552" target=_blank>list</A> for recommendations for upgrades to Adept III and the upgrade path for each line of spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>These lists are the definitive resources for conjuror spells.  They may not be internal to the Sony forums, but does it matter?  I have them both in my favorites list so they're always a click away.  It takes no more time to click over to these than it would to an internal list.</DIV>

Look folk are missing the point..... as I guess I figured folk would.... almost all other subclass board has some sort of community sticky.... be it spell lits faq redundant data.... heck what ever.... I was merely pointing out that we as a community have nothing like that here on our hoime board..... that seems troubling to me. well please as I can see that folk aren't getting the essance of my post please let it die. =P <div></div>

Ymir, I think you missed our point. The conjuror community isn't here, its at eqsummoners.com. You are more than welcome to come join us! <div></div>

<DIV>Let's see... You got answered by 3 persons... Thoses 3 have 920, 550 and 300 posts, so they are regular forum user and contributers. All 3 pointed you toward the same place... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maybe it is because the Conjuror community had a place to call home even before the Beta of EQ2 (Magician community), and got used to gathering their information over there. Maybe because the sense of community of Conjurors is represented in part outside this forum. Maybe noone feels the need to put it up here because it is already posted and regularely updated elsewhere. Maybe because Conjurors that use both forums make for better informed Conjurors in the long run, thus becoming just that much better players. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maybe because even non-Conjuror classes goes over to the Sumonner's Tower, and come back amazed by the precision of the parses, the details of the tips and tricks, or the usefulness of the Where To Hunt posts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I do not count the contribution of a community by the amount of sticky posts atop their forum, but by the level of intelligence of the posts of the community members.</DIV>

I have a new conj myself. I know that there is an external site, but I have problems finding it becuase there isn't a sticky here (and I forget to bookmark it to be honest). But if I don't already know that, I'd be in a world of hurt trying to find information because there is nothing to indicate, to new conjurors, that it exists like a sticky would.</span><div></div>

<P>Why sticky, when you can Xalmat?</P> <P>Seriously, eqsummoners is one of the best eq2 sites out there. That site has helped me plenty of times and my Conjuror is only 27.</P>

Yup, <a href=http://eq2.eqsummoners.com target=_blank>The Summoner's Tower</a> is essentially the best Conjuror resource on the web. No real need to have stickies, though I do plan on posting a <a href=http://eq2.eqsummoners.com/viewtopic.php?t=2233 target=_blank>Conjuror FAQ</a> here.

I think Loralor hit it on the head when he said that EQSummoners existed long before EQ2.  I've been going there for years for info, and TBH that's the first place I'd look for correct info - not here.

Correct. EQSummoners existed LONG before EQ2 existed as a product. In fact, we're one of the oldest EverQuest communities on the web.Brief history:EQLive is released (1999)The Mage Compendium shows up on the web (late 1999, early 2000). Soon after, The Magician's Tower messageboard (hosted by EZBoards) are started. (earliest recorded post on The Magician's Tower I can find is February 18, 2000).After most EQ forums get screwed over by EZBoards, The Magician's Tower migrates to phpBB (2003).EQ2 goes "public" beta (mid 2004).The Conjuror's Tower is formed (late October 2004). Main audience is Conjurors.EQ2 is released (November 2004).The Conjuror's Tower changes its name to The Summoner's Tower (March 19, 2005). Main audience is now all Summoners: Necromancer and Conjuror. The Mage Compendium changes management and becomes EQSummoners.com (March 25, 2005).

But having the URL stickied would make it easier for those to find who have never heard of it.

That's because conjurors are all out killing stuff rather than complaining how "my class can't kill a solo tripple down mob anymore, boo hoo, I'm quitting...". LOL <div></div>

<DIV>I'm just wondering what happened to our root(well my adept 1 root.  29 conjuror) Today I went after 2 yellow down arrow orcs and rooted one. got to close to the rooted one and completed a HO and my root breaks. Never did that before. used to get atleast 2 nukes off before root broke.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Did they nerf it or something?</DIV>

You think a spell is nerfed after trying it ONCE?Try a few more times, and maybe it is changed, maybe it isn't. I haven't seen any changes in my root.

Xalmat

Our roots are meant to have a chance to break on damage. You likely completed the HO that does an AoE attack when completed, or you did the single target HO on the rooted monster.
