<DIV>past day or so found earth pets AE taunt is either very rare or not happening.</DIV> <DIV>lvl 48 conjuror, adept 3 earth pet, master2 defence stance, conjuror ssignet App1, Infernus Seed adept3.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>very odd, it was working MUCH better previous but been killed several times today when before he was quite able to get aggro a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] sight easier on groups of mobs.</DIV> <DIV>Talking about say , two or one arrow down blues, solo mobs, not heroics or the like.</DIV> <DIV>A run of bad luck a few times I could understand but this seems consistant.</DIV> <DIV>Hm. Any ideas? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
It's not bugged, he just doesn't use it every single pull anymore. <div></div>

Indeed, the pet should be taunting more. <div></div>

<div></div>On Thursday I was upset because my monkey was pulling aggro off of higher level tanks. Now he doesnt taunt nearly as much, and Im seeing very very little AE taunts (if any) Adpet III pet, adpet III Vex and Master II Volatile Haven, and my pet can barely pull a 2nd mob off me before I die (during pet pulls, not after nuking and such). Not sure, but feels like they changed pet taunts in the patch when they 'fixed' our invis. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Twofeets on <span class=date_text>09-17-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:57 AM</span>

Ok, just did some more testing.... Our earth pet taunt is either bugged, or completely disabled... I was pulling cobras with static pulse, then sending in monkey (why? just to test taunt). As soon as the spell landed I sent monkey in on attack. Monkey could not pull snake off of me without hitting it at least 1 or 2 times. Previously he could taunt it off before ever starting to melee. This is using a app 4 level 3 spell, and then using an adpet III earth pet with Master II Volatile Haven... Something is definetly broken... <div></div>

<DIV>I suggest everyone does a /feedback asap, and explain this problem because it is _quite_ disabling our ability to solo. Solo mobs aren't an issue but when I'm trying to take on a group (non-heroic)... ouch.</DIV>

I dont know, I might just be lucky but i've been at the crows by TS station with my summoner since he was 15, and my pet can pull aggro and keep if off me with no trouble at all. I pull one, stun the other and send my pet to attack it while its stunded and it can keep aggro though the whole fight. 3 lvls there and no problems at all. Lvl 2-15 in one day <div></div>

<P>I've been doing just fine by moving the tanking earth pet to each of the mobs in a group momentarily. Very occasionally, one mob in a group will break off and go for me, but after a stun and putting the pet on that mob, the pet has kept the attention of the encounter very well I'd say - despite me AoEing and PBAoEing.</P> <P>Earth Pet + Defensive Stance is understood I hope. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>X</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>LOL NOT USING TAUNT... hahahahh yea right... mine wont stop using it... if i am in a group... if that tank isnt doing its job... my pet got agro for sure... It taunt all the time... sometimes not atthe beginning of the fight... but if i attack a group of 4 and 1 attacks my pet and 3 attack me i run up to my pet... and within about 10 secs or less he has them all... and i can safly move away from the targets and deal my dmg that i need to do... its actually getting harder to pull agro off my pet... which i erally dont mind... </DIV>

Weird...I haven't noticed any problems either. I was in the Underrot instance in Nek last night (heroic version) and the pet seemed to taunt fine. I was chaining AoE's on some and generally going all-out dps and only seemed to pull aggro when my aqueous hunters died occasionally.

<DIV>there's a very easy way to tell if your pet is shouting or not. if multiple mobs get the little head-fire thingy, your pet has aoe-taunted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think the shout 1.) is on a ~1 minute timer, so it doesn't go off all the time, and 2.) might might might have an aoe?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>with a level 34 adept i earth pet with master ii volatile refuge, I'm easily able to take the 2 priest + 4 raider vvv groups in zek, sometimes the pet doesn't shout right away, but it just takes patience. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I did notice though that sometimes I had more trouble than others. I think it's all about timing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cheers!</DIV> <DIV>Tooraloom</DIV>
Another thing I think you guys may not be aware of....taunt can be resisted. Just because the pet uses taunt, doesn't always mean it'll stick.<div></div>

<DIV>I am also not having any problems with this. My pet is taunting just fine.</DIV>
Actually, I don't think the purple monkey is broken... there appears to be an agro "issue" out there. If you strike a mob first, it's very hard to get agro to change. When soloing, I always make sure to have the pet pull instead of me casting for the pull. In this scenario, the pet does nice AOE taunts. This whole taunt thing appears to be true for both human tanks, and pet tanks. It's also not limited to conjurors.<div></div>

<DIV>1) Yes you can see pet do the AE taunt, the whirly fire graphic appears over mosb who have NOT resisted it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> When I posted, I was not seeing this, it was simply not occuring. Sometimes it still doesn't but least it often does go off, currently. At the time of posting it did not. A bug perhaps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2) Anyone who gets on a mobs hatelist first (the puller), far as I know gets a bonus hate, of like 100 or so? I recall this from EQ1 and seems to be similar in EQ2? The wizards of Graffe's Forums proved this I believe for EQ1.</DIV>
