<DIV>i'm looking to start up playing again with a couple friends and were wondering if it would be wise to choose a conjurer with all the changes coming to the game, and was wondering if i'd still be a desireable class in groups after the changes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also since i know almost nothing about this class, how are conjurers soloing? and would i be able to partner with a wizard friend if need be.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~~Fugunda Bloodforge</DIV> <DIV><EQ1 retired></DIV> <DIV><Arcane Asylum></DIV>

Conjuror's solo great!I can't speak on buffs, but we will definitely be wanted for our DPS (especially the Fire pet).

Hello, Most of my levels I soloed and even we are not one of the fastest killers we have our pet (best adept 3 including the pet buffs) who is a great tank . Now my conjuror is level 50 and always wanted in raids cause of the good buffs we give. Good luck with your conjuror. <div></div>

<DIV>what I have played in doF, you be crazy not to have one in your group the DPS from our fire pet + DoT are crazy, almost to the point the tank has trouble keeping agro.</DIV>

<DIV>Call of the Hero('s)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That spell alone made the expansion/revamp so worth it for Conjurer's. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I hate seeing monkey pet get destroyed but its nice to see the other 2 pets being used now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I'm used for DPS obviously, but often put in Group 1 due to the Cold and Magic resists. <div></div>

<DIV>I am usually in the main tank group in raids for Geotic Brand (melee mitigation and hps for the main tank).  While Geotic Brand still gives mitigation post combat revamp, I heard that the new mitigation cap is trivial for the main tank to attain post combat revamp....which makes our buff unnecessary.  Is that the case and does it appear its going to remain that way?  </DIV>

<P>From the looks of it we'll be a better asset to groups in the form of DPS but we will be sacrificing some of our very nice utility to do so.  Soloing will be harder for all classes after the revamp, however, I do believe we will still stand out as one of the better soloers(pet buff losing the +HoT portion will surely hit us hard though :smileysad: ).  </P> <P>Either way CoTH alone will guarantee that we will be highly sought after in raids and groups.  Especially raids, can never have too many CoTH'ers in a guild :smileywink: !  </P> <P>I love my Conjurer.</P> <p>Message Edited by EQoobTank on <span class=date_text>08-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:00 PM</span>

Surprisingly, losing the regen on our pet buffs doesn't hurt us a whole lot, especially with the new defense stance's ward.

<P>Hmm, I can see it being very beneficial to a raid if CoTH summoned an entire group.  Problem is with the way I've been reading it we've lost a lot of our raid utility and while our DPS might be increased who's to say we'd fit into a raid that could just as well use a Sorceror?  I was hoping with the increased DPS and CoTH we'd surely be wanted.  Either way the fact that we get Call is nothing but a bonus, so I'm happy :smileywink:!</P> <P>As far as the new pet ward buff goes, anybody got any input on it?  How much aggro does it generate towards the Conjurer?  How hard is it to keep your pet alive after the ward expires?  Does it work with our pet HP to power transfers?  I rather like the consistent healing the current buffs do as it lets me know pretty well how much healing I'll need to apply, how far I can push it before I gain aggro, whether or not I should just go ahead and grab my robe and take off running...</P>

<P>We will still be wanted in raids, but the reaosns will be different.</P> <P>CotH will be a nice incentive, whatever the implementation.</P> <P>Our pets can do damage to mobs that either wizzy or scouts cannot hit. If a mob is fire/cold immune, pull out air pet. If mob is slash/piercing immune, pull out fire pet, etc. We will always be able to do damage, whatever the situation.</P> <P>Flameshield line is free damage</P> <P>Our buffs, even in their current reduced state, are still buffs. Any amount of mitigation can help.</P>

They put a 5g cost on CoTH?  That is absolutely ludicrous!

well in the new city I saw the item for 9gp, most likely cause I didnt have faction or those scoundral merchants are ripping me off. Thank goodness you can actually kill the merchants in the new city.....actually you can kill everything. cant wait for the first raid part of lvl 60's to come through and wipe out entire city..... that will teach those poor beggars for asking me for coin.

Does anybody know what damage the scout pet does, whether it is slash or pierce?</span><div></div>
