I'm trying to figure out if right now, the way pet scaling works before any combat changes go in, if there's anything that the Adept III pet does that the Adept I doesn't. I've heard that different tiers get some cooler special abilities, but both adepts are the same teir obviously. I've also heard that all the Pets at the moment have basically the same HP, Damage potential (not counting special ablilities) and what have you.

For the moment, I'm having a hell of a time getting a Rare to make my own Adp III Soldier, I'm level 21 right now and most of the rock clusters in TS that I've found seem to be surrounded with Level 24-25 arggo's. I have 3 more levels to possibly find that Rare, but if that doesn't work out, I want to know if I can fall back on the Adept I for the moment and make the most out of it the way pet scaling is now, and hopefully get a Rare in the future.

Right now the only difference is in the amount of levels that the pet will grow with you as you level. Obviously a level 25 pet will hit harder than a level 22 pet ( just an example ). When the combat changes come into effect there is supposed to be a difference within the same level when you upgrade a spell. So an Adept 3 level 25 pet will hit harder than an Adept 1 level 25 pet and have more HP and such. Right now though, there is only a minimal effect.

So, for now, an adept 1 will do just fine until you reach the point when it wont level with you anymore. Then you'll have to upgrade to get more levels out of it until the next version of pet comes along.

Ellestil
