<DIV>Haven't heard anything from SOE about this in a LONG while now. What is considered broken about the fire pets? I use my Ig servant whenever I am in a group. They do decent DPS, and teh group buff they cast is pretty nice. They cant tank at all, and they do die rather quickly if they get caught in a barrage, but if timed properly, and you have a good tank that turns the mob, you can avoid the barrage. My main problem I have with the fire pet is the difference between The app and Adept version. The first time I saw a conjurur with teh app version of Ig Servant I knew I had to make a conjurur ( I betrayed with my Troll Summoner just for that pet) I loved the flying figure eight fire pet. I updated the pet to Adept 1, and now I have an ugly fire lizard. I would prefer the adept version be the flying snake. Cast the flying snake, and cast totem of the winged viper on yourself, and it looks really cool together. But please explain in more detail why you do not prefer the fire pet while grouped? I thought that was the main reason to have the diff pets, one type for solo, and one type for group. <div></div>

<DIV>The reality is, with the possible exception of the Igneous Savant training spell for mid levels (pre Tel Veteran), the fire pets are inferior in every possible way to earth pets. Earth pets have better DPS, they taunt better, and they obviously have more hit points and tank better. There is *no* situation where a conjuror 40+ should use anything other than their tellurian pet. Fire pets and Air pets just plain suck.</DIV>

veteran blows both pets out of water .only a couple situations where air is better to use and that is on raids against a couple mobs that are preety resistant to magic damage.also the pain with air pet is when summon it it could have one of 2 attacks either it pierces or slashes wont know till you summon it . kinda sucks when go up against a mob that is immune to one of those attacks,.

I'm using my Igneous Adept (Adept I) at the moment (@lvl 34 now) because I like it's power buff (I almost get 150 power points more) and the DPS isn't that bad =) <div></div>

<DIV>Last night I was grinding out my last 5% to get to level 43 and trying to finish off my Evil Eye L&L. Fighting the level 37 EE's (no arrows) my earth pet was tearing through them and hardly loosing any health. I went to test some things. </DIV> <DIV>1 set pet to guard me.</DIV> <DIV>2. Cast Volital Haven</DIV> <DIV>3. Found one EE.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I opened up with Frozen by time, then cast our stifle spell (forget the name) then went down the line casting all of my DoT's. Did this with the earth pet and the fire pet making sure I kept agro. The EE died much faster with the earth pet. I also did the same thing with only healing the pets and letting them tank the EE alone. I was basicly chain casting heals on the fire pet until I got agro from all the heals. Granted the Earth pet I have is Adept 3 and my fire pet is only Adept 1 but sine its a caster it should have done alot more damage. The issue with the fire pet is it casts one or two spells then moves in to melee where it completly sucks. The fire pet needs to have its desire to melee cut in 1/2 and the desire to cast increased. This would help tremendously with the fire pet.</DIV>

The fire pets do kind of suck, but if you choose the lvl 30 fire pet upgrade, it is awesome. I used it all the way until it stopped leveling around 42 when I was in a group. It gives an awesome group buff and does better DPS because it has AOE spells along with its nukes. It also appears that the timer is shorter for the nukes than with the regular fire pets. Why can't the devs just make the normal fire pets more like the lvl 30 upgrade?

<P>Bump, just hoping for pet fixes before the expansions releases, if not i will have played a broken class for almost a year , its unilkely that i will buy the xp pack if the fixes are not in before.... its getting ridiculous.</P> <P>You couldve at least lowered the cast time on our dots and the stacking issues of more then 1 conjuror on raids... What the hell are we suppose to do with 2 conjurors on raids, 1 of em is DEAD WEIGHT , our dots dont stack our aqeous hunters overwrites one and the other.... so if a 2nd conjuror wants to join the raid should we just say no because everyone knows hes not helping, veteran alone on epic mobs does not make up for our lack of potential.</P> <P> </P>
