View Full Version : Wouldnt Monster Summoning spell line be great?

<DIV>anyone remember these spells from eq1? i always did like summoning a griffin or wurm pet... would be nice to see a spell like this in eq2. Even if it summoned a random elemental type as its base like in eq1 or if it just cast an illusion of monster on our eath pets. Elementals are cool i must admitt but the cut and paste jobs with some of them graphics wise isnt too appealing to me. They could at least give us a flaming drake or somthing along that lines for a fire pet. Ive seen a cool looking fire gargoyle thing as one of our master versions of the fire pet but it display the same graphic for the adept fire pet of the next tier, weird.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Monster summoning would rock.</DIV>

Gates of Discord, the strongest pet Mages had was the Monster Summoning IV.</P> <P>If they would put in a Monster summoning here it would have to outdo the Tellurian to be considered useful.</P> <P>And agreed, maybe if they fix the airpet and firepet first, a monster summoning type spell that may contain a bit of all three 'archetypes' would be nice to obtain.</P>

They've made statements like, we are going to have to make changes that people won't like for the long term stability of the game (stuff like that).</P> <P>I believe they are going to nerf tank dps by 20-40 percent across the board. Tanks are going to be very [Removed for Content], but I can already imagine this work in progress. They have created a problem where tank dps is dangerously high compared to all other archetypes, so they can't possibly properly adjust everyone elses dps without making the game way too easy.</P> <P>With all that ability to absorb damage, casters and scouts don't feel justified when they only slightly outdamage a tank. A dps class should outdamage a non dps class by a minimum of 50 percent and the people down at sony know this. They screwed up and rushed the game out unbalanced. </P> <P>There will be major corrections to archetype dps, you can count on it, mark my word.</P>

I second that, fix our current pets please. I love the fire pets look and his attacks are great but for the love of all that is good give him some damage. <div></div>

To be honest, I have yet to EVER see a caster in the worldwide top 10 magical hit list. before the monks made it there, it was dominated by assassins. <div></div>

yeh kind of a joke really how non of the "Magic Casting" classes are in the top 10 magical hits list lol cant wait till they readdress the class balancing
