Adept 1 vs. Adept 3 Soldier - DPS

A guildy of mine recently gave me rough Jasper for a Adept 3 of Tellurian Soldier. Before that I had been using adept 1. It seems that when soloing, the adept 1's dps was a bit higher than my adept 3's...Although my adept 3 is much better tank, just curious if this is my error or has anyone else expierenced it? <div></div>

I do not parse but my 2cc is that the adept 3 is superior in terms of both hit points and damage I suppose its a possibility that when parsing, the adept 3 potentially would be inferior as it has more special attacks - i.e taunts etc which would mean less damage overall but far higher utility. looking forward to hearing a detailed response from some of the more experienced players..... <div></div>

Overall, the damage increase from Adept I to Adept III pets is minor at best. What makes it a worthy upgrade is the defensive stat upgrades from Adept I to Adept III: Adept III takes less damage, dodges more, has more hit points, and it scales a level higher than Adept I (In the case of Soldier, Level 37 for Adept III vs Level 36 for Adept I)
