<DIV>Looking into pass parses, I think this is the problem our pets lack the DPS they should have.  I averaged about 60 parses and came up with a rough number of .50 HPS(hits per second) at lvl 32 for adept III pets with lvl 30 trained pet buff and agitation+ fire seed.  Looking at the player HPS, they would do about .79 at the lowest to about 1.5 HPS at the highest but averaged about 1.  Our scout class pet should at least coming close to PC classes, if not hitting as hard in some cases so overall effective DPS should be less still than a PC.  So my solution is to add a haste effect to our pet buff line.  This would bring up the HPS of our pets and in turn give them a little boost in DPS.  Tell me what you think and what you have observed.  I dont think group haste buff effect pets neither.  I noticed in one particular instance I was grouped with a Dirge doing group haste and my pets HPS did not change.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thank you,</DIV> <DIV>Primordia of Crushbone</DIV>

Sounds like a bug with haste then. But are you factoring <I>just</I> melee or are you factoring in specials too? Specials throw it completely off, and are completely unaffected by haste or slow (both players and NPCs)<p>Message Edited by CLMarioMax on <span class=date_text>03-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:03 PM</span>

aye them specials give our pets a real boost in dps while i am not a conjuror yet i can tell you my pet doesn't do much in melee attacks but his specials do quite a bit of dmg.

Yeah it was hits per second, not just melee but factoring all spell and special ability hits.  I noticed today when I had a chanter target haste my pet, DPS seemed to improve.  I do believe it may be a bug or maybe they never intended group haste to affect pets.  Hey how about giving us some pet weapons like EQlive?  I always loved that about my mage.  Give it some cool proc weapons and go to town :smileyhappy:

Well like I said, specials are completely unaffected by haste or slow, and they account for roughly 70% of any melee's damage output (player or otherwise).

I see what you are saying.  Well, maybe make the pet buff have a bigger chance of procing then or give the pets a few new attacks would be the fix instead of haste.  Good point thanks for bringing that to my attention.
