AQ Part III Question

I'm just wondering what exactly it is we have to kill for this part. I've been running around Stormhold looking for the defiled torrents and haven't come across any yet. I'm also not sure what exactly it is we have to kill for the other 2 parts.Also I was wondering if this quest was mostly soloable at lvl 20. I did the first 2 basically by myself with everything but the last 2 things in both quest. And if not lvl 20, is it possible to do it with with a lvl 21, I'm at 83% so getting to lvl 21 for the quest is no big deal.Just for a reminder of what it is"I should destroy the defiled torrents I find within Stormhold to try and recover any bone fragments I find for Gildas""I must gather any information I can find within the library in Stormhold""I should destroy any of the more powerful gelatinous masses I find within Stormhold in an attempt to find any information about their origin for Gildas"Also after looking at some other threads about our AQ in general is it worth doing?<p>Message Edited by ScrCrow on <span class=date_text>02-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:52 PM</span>

<DIV>The first two parts of the armor quest are soloable, if I remember correctly.  After that, you will need a full group in order to finish them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think the armor quests were great when EQ2 just came out because there was no armor for sale on the broker.  Now, the markets are flooded so you can easily purchase goods that are comparable or better than the armor quest ones.  All in all, I think the armor quests aren't worth it in the end -- the time coordinating with people, organizing groups to do very particular things, running back and forth and so on can all be spend on gaining experience or doing other quests.</DIV>

<DIV>While I agree with laslight on the availability of armour from the brokers etc, I would still recommend doing the AQ's as it gives you experience of different zones (i had never been to SH before aq3).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>IMO , at lvl22 at the time, none of this was soloable, the defiled torrents, gelatinous masses and the whole library scenario is VERY tricky. You will need a group of approximately avg vl 22-24 in order to be safe. Or a smaller, well balance group - i.e good tank, good healer and a caster or 2.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When you get to the main hall inside the entrance to Stormhold, use the second door to the right and find the atrium. Most of these critters are quite local to this location. The library is through a grate on the floor in the open room with zombies and crag withers. These are group lvl mobs and are usually 1 to 3 in a group and were yellow to me at lvl 21. Go north out of atrium and they are in first room on left. Gelatinous cubes are in next room on left and can be used for the third part of quest.</FONT><BR><BR>"I must gather any information I can find within the library in Stormhold" <FONT color=#ff0000>These are in the library and are possessed agro books. The library is a seperate zone off of lvl 2, use a hole in the floor in a northwesterly room....next room on left after gelatinous cubes. </FONT><BR><BR>"I should destroy any of the more powerful gelatinous masses I find within Stormhold in an attempt to find any information about their origin for Gildas" <FONT color=#ff0000>You can use the gelatinous cubes mentioned above, or the condensed mists and oozing fungus from the room you drop down to the library from.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#ff0000>You will need a good tank and healer and one other DPS probably as well for this quest. You will easily use the equipment up to lvl 30, will generally have a higher AC versus those who are using crafter or store bought equipment, and the quests offer really good exp as well.</FONT></DIV>
