<DIV>This spell is definitely cool and it actually works :smileysurprised: You cast on Pet and if he dies , he is insta-Rezd and given like +400 health ( at Adept 1 ) . The Adept 1s are in game so be sure and pick this one up, definitely worth it . Seems to have a pretty fast recast time too so you can use again if needed. It has already helped me win some very close battles while soloing.</DIV>
<DIV>:smileyvery-happy: haven't gotten the spell yet, but it's nice to know i was right about what it did</DIV>
<DIV>yes it's a must for soloing group mobs. Especially now that it lasts 15 minutes,, always keep it on your pet while pushing yourself soloing it deffinetly helps.</DIV>

<DIV>It's a fun spell but I really havent' found a use for it. Solo encounters at high level are so easy that my pet is never in danger and my pet is never in danger in group encounters. Perhaps it will be more useful with the expansion.</DIV>

<DIV>Yes, soloing green ^^ mobs is where its at. The mobs get more difficult as you level, its deffinetly more of a challenge killing the green ^^ at 45+ than it was around level 30.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My goal is to be able to solo blue group mobs, Minions Intervention comes into play every fight in this type of encounter.</DIV>

<DIV>Good luck with those Blue Group mobs , I will be impressed if you can do it :smileywink:</DIV>

<DIV>A while back I saw this spell in master form on hte broker for 70g. Needless to say I rushed to the bank as fast as I could...only to have it bone by the time I got back to the broker <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>Sounds like a cool spell... but doesn't all the pet's aggro transfer to you as soon as it dies? </DIV>

<DIV>Our pet's don't technically die, I think, so the aggro is not transfered back. </DIV>

<DIV>Master 1 at level 50 gives pet over 1,100 health when he dies. He keeps aggro too :smileysurprised:</DIV>

<DIV>Soloing Green^^ MOBs at 48? Even 45? I am a 26 Conjuror with Adept 3 Soldier. They have this new con system in. ^^? OK is that one of those that you are supposed to use 3 or more people on? Thought those would be the old ^^ MOBS. Again, I have an AD3 Soldier. I can't solo a green X3 mob at all. By the time it Takes me to get the DoT's off, my AD3 Soldier is down to less then half it's HP. I have to start healing. My DoT's stop, I can't recast them, I'm running for my life. The MOB's HP have't dropped to 3/4.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Folks, I have AD1-3 and App4 in all my spells. My pet buffs, my DoT's, heal. You name it. SONY has bumped the MOB's attack and HP, and nerfed our spells to the point we cant even solo decently any more. And you get absolutely SQUAT in drops soloing SOLO MOBs. You can't even sell ther stuff for the price of crafted food and drink for the sday. They have nerfed the Alchemist so badly I can't make any money to buy stuff. I tell you what, they don't do something to balance the Conjuror class and allow our pets to tank MOBs, this class is absolutely useless.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SONY has done it once again to casters. And they promise they are working on fixing things and class balance.... like they told me 5 months ago they were ggoing to get my Heritage Querst Vale fo the Shattering bug fixed in my quest journal so I could finish that ... that's right, 5 months on that one. They promised for 3, or was it 4 months they were going to fix crafting, yeah right, they "fixed" it all right, just ask any Alchemist.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rant over. Doesn't do a bit iof good because SONY just plain doesn't give a dropping of feces. They are gonna make their 65 million a year off folks, why should they care about fixing things?</DIV><p>Message Edited by Loeb Rahl on <span class=date_text>03-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:04 AM</span>

<DIV>Loeb,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There is a thread about soloing group mobs, you should check it out for some strategies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically tho, as I say over there, forget about soloing the lowest green ^^ mobs from about lvl 23 to 27, because at 28 you get Instant Vim and your fights should become more doable.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also certain mobs are harder than others. If you are trying to solo centaurs or giants, yes, you will have a problem until 30 or so. Caster mobs also are very hard as they prettymuch ignore the pets good defense. Zombie and Skeleton mobs I find are much easier.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sometimes a fight goes bad at the start and it is hard for the pet to get fast agro to allow you to start dotting and healing early, because a late start makes the fight twice as hard as it needs to be.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Try these:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) cast Petrify as soon as your pet has done at least 50 damage (usually is one hit, might have to hold off on dotting a few seconds)</DIV> <DIV>2) send your pet to attack only from the rear of the mob</DIV> <DIV>3) watch for your pet's taunt ability, if it lands then you can step up your casting a bit</DIV> <DIV>4) as a general rule, dont start casting (outside of petrify) before mob gets to 90% health remaining</DIV> <DIV>5) as a general rule, dont complete an HO until mob is in the yellow (below 80%)</DIV> <DIV>6) as a general rule, let HOs almost time out before completing (you have 10 seconds), it spaces out your damage, renew dots heal pet etc while wating for HO to get near end</DIV> <DIV>7) stay at maximum pet heal range during fight, do not melee mob</DIV> <DIV><img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> if mob agroes you kite it by running waiting for petrify to cycle, when up cast the stun then stack your dots then run away again, pet and your dots will keep hammering it as you keep running</DIV> <DIV>9) always start the fight with pet 100% health and you 100% power (easier now with the 10/15 min buffs)</DIV> <DIV>10) when you get Volatile Refuge, always start with it on pet</DIV> <DIV>11) dont heal pet unless it is under 50% health remaining, preferrably wait until it is at 20%</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by KingBalder on <span class=date_text>03-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:10 PM</span>

<DIV>indeed ive found this spell to be handy in certain situations. just be sure to follow up (after hes rezzed ) w/ a quick heal, as my pet ( at lvl 50 adept3) has a lot o' hit points and 400 hp's isnt much against mobs at this point in the game</DIV> <DIV>but still a very cool spell imo</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>HOBBS HELLFYRE</DIV> <DIV>50 CONJURER</DIV> <DIV>MM SERVER</DIV>

<DIV>Volatile Refuge is quickly becoming one of my favorite spell lines. For a long time I thought the spell was garbage and never used it. In fact I never really knew what it did. Now I use it all the time and it helps a ton. Putting it on your pet is really dumb though IMO.</DIV><p>Message Edited by StaticLex on <span class=date_text>03-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:47 PM</span>
