View Full Version : Adornments that will boost our DPS

Just wondering if any fellow coercers have adorned any of there gear with the following...HAND SLOTFabled Occult Stitching Tailor +25 all spell damageNECK SLOTFabled Occult Clasp Weaponsmith increases all spell damage up to 25(First off are the above two the same effect?)I'm unsure as to the above effect on our nukes and dots, and would like some more info from coercers that have them.Example: I nuke mob with Stroke is it an added 25 damage to that nuke? Will it add the damage on every hostile spell I cast? Or what if I cast sonic boom, or Ego Torrent will it add 25 damage to all targets hit by my AE? What about our dots, or our AE dot will it only add 25 damage to the first tick? or is the damage divided among the total ticks?And more importantly will the above two adornments stack? meaning 50 added damage if I had the above two adornments on my gear.Thanks in advance for clarification,<div></div>

If it says it adds say 60 then it uses the 3 second casting time for normalization down. So a 3 second casting spell will get the full 60 while a 1s cast spell will only get 20. When it comes to dots it looks at the number of updates and uses that to normalize the dot which caps at 5. So a dot user is most likely only getting +12 per tick and not the 60 you are thinking. <P>Yes they stack.</P> <P>As for how the damage gets handled, it is normalized...  For AA and AOE DD, the damage is scaled based on a 3 second casting time.  So, for a 3 second casting time spell, one of those would add 25.  For a 1 second casting time spell, it would add 25/3 = ~8.  </P> <P>For DOT and AOE DOTs, the damage is split over the number of ticks so that if the DOT runs it's full duration it will total 25 extra damage.  Thus, per tick you're looking at 4-5 extra damage.</P> <P>Note that for coercers, currently these don't add anything to our reactives which make up 40% or more of our overall damage.</P>

Note the head / shoulder adornments are no longer 400 power / hps.  They are only 100 power / hps now.  Regardless, the above list is very good.
