Hey Guys,I am playing EQ2 now for ages - having brouhgt up 2 toons in the 70s and after some boring, repetetive gameplay I decided to make a Coercer - one of the harder to play classes (having had a Necro and a Defiler before). So far, so good one could say. My lil Coercer is now lvl 31, got Master Coerce, Master Hesitation, Master Mez, many Masters, nice Equip, rest Adepts III. Playing if fun - getting used to charm breaks, debuffing the mobs,...World could be perfect. Sadly, it is not <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I have 21 AAs atm, which are spend in Charm and going down the WIS line atm to improve Subj. I tried my hands now at alot of ^^^ Heroics, sadly to no avail. Root last on average 3-4 Hits (Master 1 root), Stun gets chainresited very often (first time I saw a 5 resist chain, lol), Mezz works but gets resisted pretty often too, and having a pet on the mob while he beats it up (to get Sybylant to proc) seems to result in alot of cases of Charm getting broken (strangly often right beforre the pet would die.I know I am missing something. Or I am just to dumb, whatever. But would anyone of u fancy to give me an idea of soloing tactics? No need for whole, step by step instructions, just a nod in the right direction? For apparently I am missing something, but for gods sake, I donot know what ...Thanx in advance<div></div>

<DIV>First ditch the melee pets unless your killing trash solo targets. Grab a nuking pet; your bound to find one or two in each zone. When you find your target open with mez, followed by your Pysche line debuff and root. Yo-yo the pet back and forth until it picks up one of its spell casting scripts. As the pets nuke launches toward the target begin to mez your target. The nuke will land and your mez will follow immediately after, rinse and repeat. When you hit fifty you can try another tactic with our PBAE stun (Point Black Area of Effect). mez, debuff, root, PBAE, mez. What I like to do is mez, debuff, root, PBAE, DD, DD, mez. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If your fighting Yellow or higher always debuff when your able too (I debuff everything excluding solo trash mobs). Orange con mobs will be challenging and expect for your root, and charm to break frequently on them. The average rule of thumb is that nukers are better than melee pets due to the safety and control factor. However some pets (such as inflitrators in HoF) that are melee based are excellent. This tactic helps if your dealing with frequent charm breaks as a result of a break your now facing one mob who's already mezzed and rooted (Not a threat) and a pet that simply needs to be mezzed and recharmed. You can toss a quick mez, charm it and be back nuking mezzing your previous target without missing a beat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Procs can help and hurt but overall I'd recommend them for that extra damage. Bone-Clasped Girdle, Gown of Glory, Grizzfazzles Walking Stick, Orb of the Invoker, Enspelled Vultak Eye, Signet of Light & Darkness and many others. One of my favorite tactics is to spam my hex doll for damage procs while I'm waiting for my PBAE cooldown to reset. As an aside while doing this I get free heal procs, and damage ward procs. This can be a great tactic when low on power and low on health recovering from a mishap during a named fight. I've easily healed myself up with the two 550 health procs on two items over 1k combined on some procs, not to mention put up three damage wards in the interim from combining three other procs. You get dual benefit by the magic debuff plus the frequent procs of all of your items thanks to its long cast time.</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text>_______________________________________</SPAN> <P><SPAN class=time_text>In regards to subjugation I am still not convinced of its value above 350. I cobbled +23 subjugation from gear, 26 from ring procs and 40 from AA's putting me somewhere real close to the 455 cap and I still experience rather random breaks. My favorite most recently was while soling HoF with a blue Inflitrator as it broke three times consecutively after two minutes of charm during its break. So 413 stock subjugation with 439 kicker from procs and it still breaks whenever it feels like it.</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Kardgar on <span class=date_text>01-10-2007</span> <span class=time_text>01:10 PM</span>

<DIV>I had resist issues as well, but I found that they were mostly caused by my Subjugation skill not being maxed out for the level I was at. Once I got it back up to the cap, resists were much more rare. Consider level-locking for a while to work up your Sub if it's not already maxed out.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If it is? Well, um.... I can't help you. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I am probly just blind - but howcan you gather 40 Subj Skill from AAs? The only one I saw so far was teh Subj increase via the WIS line, from the original AAs Did I miss some AA line from the new ones? °looks strange°If so, I am a n00b, i knew it from the start <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />--------------------------------------------------------In regards to teh comments, thanx for the remarks. I thought so that having my pet go close is not what is wanted form me, but I tohught I missed some kickass Tactic somewhere <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ... so thanx for telling me.<div></div>

that subj gain you see from the (presumably) wis line is what you're after, it goes up with each rank so looks tiny at first and goes up to 40ish as you near rank 8.debuff mag resist with the psyche line in the meantime.<div></div>
