Confusing Spell Drop Question

Hey all... As I was reading and posting a question formed in my mind.  If the coercer population is as small as I keep hearing, why are there not more master spells for us being sold?  -orIs it that spell drops are proportionate to the number of player in a class...?-ooorIs it that people hate us so much the destroy them <span>:smileymad:</span><div></div>

<div></div>I always see at least half a dozen pages of 52-70 masters being sold, about the same number as I see for any other class.<a href="http://eq2census.com/" target=_blank>http://eq2census.com/</a> will give you some pretty good numbers for how many of a given class there are on a server. <FONT face=Verdana color=#3366ff><STRONG>Domination, unfortunately, is a lvl 61 spell. That means its pretty rare, as are all lvl 61 spells that I've ever come across. There aren't that many places that drop lvl 60-62 masters, breeding grounds is one, SOS another, Poets Palace rarely, and T6 raids sometimes drop lvl 60 masters (but not higher). I've recently aquired my last lvl 61+ spell, so the last 5 masters I need are all lvl 52-60 (the 3 ancients and 2 others) so I have started to farm T6 with earnest. Problem is, now, I need to find me a lvl 60 to mentor lol!</STRONG></FONT>

Domination is about as common as Necro/Conjy scout pets, healer mit buffs, etc. Which is to say, not very. The reason is that, as the monkey said, there are a limited number of places where 60ish masters can drop. Combine that with the fact that every coercer in the world wants a M1 charm to call their own, and the things tend to vanish within minutes of appearing on the broker.<div></div>

Just before the holiday Domination was up for 50 plat on AB. Its easier to get your hands on Dominate then make Nest farming runs until your able to turn something up. Its ironic because I've got those pesky Necro/Conj pets that they want, but not my Domination. About a month and a half ago I saw the same person selling Dominate for 3 plat each on AB, I couldn't resist buying them both up.

I bought my Domination for 15p or so on Lucan, and a former guildie got his for about 12p. I bought one for a guildie for 8p. You just gotta check the broker like 10 times a day from the time you make your coercer, and you'll find one eventually for a fairly good price <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.<div></div>
