<DIV>Hoping a Dev can take a look at this. I also reported this as a bug too.  We tested this while waiting forever for Skylord to pop in POA and I was with a buddy Wizard. It was very repeatable. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EVERY time I took a pet the Wizard could break the pet by casting Cure Arcane. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thought this was fixed? Please help fix this since it could really cause a lot of problems in a"bad" sort of way. I don't play PVP, but I can only imagine what this would do there.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV>Jede 70 Coercer</DIV>

<P>I was in Deathtoll last night and able to cure someone charmed by the eyes... I think they've fixed that?  But if a group-wide arcane cure is breaking charm that explains a lot of why I kept losing pet while grouping over the weekend.  </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>You can tell if someone cure's it or if it breaks by itself. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You know when it breaks by itself, you get a quick little yellowish screen. When someone cure's yuor pet it doesnt give you that. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's seriously annoying. Even when guildmates cure you because they think its funny :smileymad: </DIV>

GROUP cures should not break charm. But single target still will. I don't know why, and also find it annoying because my friends like to do that to me mid-fight then laughing as I get my butt handed to me... mean friends <span>:smileysad:</span> But I do know the group cures no longer cure charm. I'm sure there's a logical reason why single target cures work, probably something to do with PVP or being the same coding as breaking NPC's charm, but I'm not a coder so I couldn't tell ya.<div></div>

<div></div>Had a group Cure Arcane break my charm while screwing around in HoF. I thought I was freaking out, after seeing this post ealier I asked the Mystic to try it again, and yup, it broke... well... was cured. No flashy yellow doom screan just POOF, no pet. Funny thing is, I don't think either of the times I got aggro, went right to the healer that cured it. Could have been her wards though. This seriously NEEDS to be fixed.Just being curious about the "curing of charm in DT", I thought that was imposible concidering it's a debuff, not a buff. Anyone else get this to work? Mine failed before and after the LU patch. (removed a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] load of stuff it wasn't supposed to though, imcluding HP buffs, my DPS buff and my Hate buff on the tank.) Look for the white lettering that says "You have removed <what ever the charm spell name is> from %t.". (I'm probably a bit off on what it says, but when you debuff something it DOES tell you /what/ you actually removed. EDIT: OH, kinda forgot to mention that this HoF thing happened this morning, so they might have screwed it during the last patch again.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Cattastrophy on <span class=date_text>01-02-2007</span> <span class=time_text>11:27 PM</span>

<div></div>One reason some people might be seeing group Cure Arcane (Cure: Ardent Resolve) not working while others do, is that Templars don't get the final version (Cure: Devoted Resolve) till level 70 so it only cures up to 57 levels of affliction. It is also an upgradable spell unlike the single target cures, which scale as you level and have no upgrades. My main is a Templar and it is quite annoying, as there is basically no such thing as group Cure Arcane in t7 until the end game. While we are on the subject, there is a new twist added by EoF which is reactive cures, so if you are hit by a Cure Arcane with this AA upgrade it will continue to proc as a reactive for up to one minute. I have no idea if this works on pets. I'll have to try it and see. And, yes, my husband gets a big thrill from using Cure Arcane on my Coercer pet.  It's getting to be like a bad remake of The Pink Panther.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Sonaht on <span class=date_text>01-03-2007</span> <span class=time_text>07:30 AM</span>

I'm still POed about the "cure arcane breaking charm" thing myself. DEVs really should take a look at that. It would be fair if we could remove it from tanks -OR- make it not cureable at all, on everyone. The way I've been dealing with this problem... 1) If a healer / Mage ([expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]-hats) / Pally breaks my charm via curing it, I give them one warning not to do it again or I will watch them all die.2) If it continues, AE fear when it happens (which will normally set you as last on the aggro list and sometimes remove you all together)3) Sit back and enjoy the show. As long as you don't do anything after the fear you can get your mob recharmed after everyone is dead.... 4) Tell them you'll rez the healer (if stone/feather was provided, or tinker item) IF and only if they pay attention.5) Put a smile face in group chat... this part is important... 6) Continue with newer smarter group -or- realized you just got kicked from group and go solo better mobs for self gain!If you follow these easy steps, it will help you get by people curing your charm. Still needs to be fixed though. lol<div></div>

<p>I too just bug reported this issue today after watching my pet repeatedly break the [Domination (Master I)] charm spell ever time after a Cure Arcane spell was cast.</p><p>Since charming is deemed as a "hostile" spell, Cure Arcane quickly does its job and removes the hostile effect.  This is great when a group member is charmed by a hostile mob, allowing mages/healers the ability to cure the hostile charm.  Not so great when a coercer repeatedly looses their pet because of group/spot cures.  DOH!</p><p>Making the coercer charm spells into a "beneficial" tagged spell would only cause the Dispel Mental ability that a coercer has through the enhanced Coercer AA Tree line to also break the coercer's pets.  DOH!</p><p>I propose that the developers please make the coercer charm spell line into an "inert" tagged (not hostile or beneficial) spell within the EQ2 coding/database to prevent your own group from repeatedly causing coercer pets to drop.</p><p>- 70 Coercer on the Vox PvP Server</p>

<p>Got similar problems in Valdoon some days ago with a warden and the "Arm of Erollisi".</p><p>The arcane group cure wasnt breaking the charm but the effect of the arm of Erollisi did.</p><p>"Cures 80 levels of... effects on TARGET" but my pet was not his target. I dont know how this works because there isnt a description that its an ae cure...</p><p>Wasnt very funny for me and my group so the warden took it off and everything works fine after that.</p>

I've experienced the same thing with the claymore rewarded priest item. Kinda stinks that either they can't wear that item, or you can't charm, or you just have to live with constant charm breaks. Shouldn't work that way in my opinion.
