pvp as a coercer

<P>Like the other guy said, until you get reactives it's really frustrating, afterwards it's better.  Solo, when things go well it's awesome, anything at all goes wrong like resists/charm breaks/adds and it's pretty much over for you in PVP.</P> <P>Even with lots of masters, and good gear you will still die...alot.  As stated and as you would expect, as a support class you will shine in groups, if that group can keep you alive that is.  Mages are often the first target to go if the opponent can lock on you.  Sure you can stun/root/stifle/mez, but most those spells have reuse immunities built in for pvp after a cast.</P> <P>FYI charm is useless on human opponents in PVP.</P> <P>But if you can tolerate death, don't mind running sometimes and want a real challenge then a coercer can be a really fun class.  Just remember it is a support class that can solo pretty darn well.  If you want an "easy button" class look elsewhere.</P> <P>Look through the coercer board here, there are many other posts asking this and similar questions.  Also look through the ones asking about AA's in PVP too.</P>

<DIV>Only level 37.. but just earned my Destoryer title back solo'ing Q's.  I love pvp'ing with a coercer... done right you can pretty much win any 1v1 if you get the opening Mez off... and surprising I do.  All my 70 toons are on PvE and all fighters, scouts and a necro.  For PvP I wanted something totally different and I was very surprised to enjoy the coercer in pvp.  I started with a guild of us coming over, so I leveled grouping (were you really shine), but I"ve been having alot of fun just soloing now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>example.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mez - debuff - lay on my reactives - root - stifle - lay on my nukes/dots/power drains - stun - daze and basically watch Q's die trying to run away.  Litterally! (Despotic Mind - 352% of target's power consumed will also be drained from target's health... this includes SPRINT)  hahaha</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>anyway, fun class and you can get around resists better then other mages, do to the fact mental it typically #4+ on the pvp resist people focus on.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>enjoy!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Exur - 37 Q killer.. All I have to say is..."this includes SPRINT"ROFL!!! - I should go check out PVP. At 70 I think the only class that I can't kill is an Assassin IF they get the jump on me... *shakes his fist at Yoyo* But yeah, before raids a lot of my guild PvPs for fun while the raid leader is setting stuff up. It's fun watching casters and healers go down in seconds and they have no idea why. ^_^<div></div>
