View Full Version : Reliable Charm from Tinkering items?
<DIV>Good afternoon all~</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I heard a report of PC's being able to charm both PC's (PvP servers) and NPC's using some (unknown to me) Tinkered item...worse the charm was "said" to regularly last almost 3 minutes without breaking. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is this true? Has anyone else heard of this?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Man that would be totaly crazy for SoE to take a reliable charm from Coercers only to give it to everyone able to use the Tinkered item.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't know if this is true so that's why I'm asking the "Charm experts."</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<P>Just to add an additional caviat; </P> <P> </P> <P>I would consider the source of the above information very reliable, he has claimed to have witnessed a <STRONG><FONT color=#cc33ff>Ranger</FONT></STRONG> Charming PC's (PvP server) many times during their fights. </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

Why wouldn't you ask a tinkerer, or in a tradeskill forums?<div></div>

The only item I've seen has a 90% chance to charm and a 10% chance to taunt. Not sure on the duration or recast, but it was only useable by tinkers I believe.<div></div>

<DIV>The item is in game but has a level cap of 60 something. To boot it has a horrible recast.</DIV>
and it only has what you charm attacking at adept 1 quality, seeing that you have to be a high level tinkerer, can only use it once in a great while, run the risk of taunting your opponent and end up with a weak pet I don't see the problem, plus they get a reliable 3 minutes? I can get a reliable 20 minutes.

I neglected to mention that I did hear it from a tinkerer however I feel the need to verify all claims when it comes to charm...I mean honestly coercers are supposed to be able to charm players, however it is sadly useless in PvP.</P> <P> I was thinking honestly the Coercers would be well aware of the issue and have input as to if this was a mistake or as intended. <BR></P>
