Level 70 or not, I still reflexively cringe whenever I walk into the Ruins.<div></div>
True, but then, the Ruins are awful for everybody. A lovely mix of quick respawns, awful pulls and patrols everywhere. Joyous. It's definitely group content, though of course the CC a Coercer can bring to bear really evens the odds if you do decide to go it solo. It's just interesting how much more you need to know about mob capabilities than everybody else. I've been toying with a bunch of classes in my quest to pick a main, and the Coercer has to deal with things other classes don't even need to think about. Even Concentration slots are tricky, because Charm takes up so many. But then I hop back on my wizard and Root. Nuke. Root. Nuke. Yawn.So right now, I think it's between a Coercer and a Brigand (or both), and maaaaybe a pet mage. One other Coercer question - how bad are resists once I've worked my way up to Tashiana? Right now, with 3/5 points in the Charm AA, my Charm lands easily and sticks, but Root, Stun and Mez are really rather unreliable (mix of App IV and Adept 3). With debuffs up, how common are chain-resists?
