Charming mobs with pets

Granted I have only tested this at low levels but when I have charmed mobs with a pet say the beastmasters on the isle the pet ALWAYS attacks me. Is this the norm and only charming summoner classes to you get their pet too?  Thanks.<div></div>

in addition I can say not to charm summoners...the pet of the charmed summoner is doing nothing all the time...it is attacking only, when the summoner is attacked :/

Are all your spells upgraded to adept3 or better? My roommate regularly charms mobs with pets...and then essentially has 2 pets fighting for him. It's pretty hilarious to see! He loves it...and rarely does the pet attack him.Although I would have to ask him ...I think he might do a mezz before he charms...<div></div>

it has nothing to do with my level of charming. When I send a charmed summoner to attack his pet does nothing.

the pet is on defend so it won't attack unless your pet is hit, I have tested this with both my coercer and necro (fun with necro since you have your main pet then a charmed pet with a pet and bring out a fluff pet and you have a small army) there are a few necro types I have charmed where the pet attacked me, seems like the pets attack if you do not manage to charm the master on the first try they go into defensive mode and won't come out of it no matter what.
