<DIV>There is no excuse to be making this spell a 1 time trigger. Let's not even discuss the fact it can be DISPELLED ( people are generally too stupid for this ). This is our backbone in PvP, and you're taking it from a class that is already tremendously underplayed. Add in imbalanced diety spells, and you have a dev team who's well on the way to ruining PvP. Maybe you guys should apply at Blizzard. You act like we're Brigands or something and needed to be toned down. Pathetic.</DIV>

<DIV>My coercer is on a pve server, so i'll speak from a pve point of view, this spell sucks! mobs rarely casts any spell and the power that spent are the lowest tier, so the power it uses is extremely low, which means this spell does next to no dmg, and soe wants to nerf it? so they're going to nerf it only on pvp combat or both? well, even if on both, it doesnt matter any anyway, cuz this spell plain suck on pve</DIV>

your reading it wrong.. and freaking out for no reason... it says 1 tigger, but it's talking about the thoughtstone not the actual spell....so just calm down and dont worry<div></div>

EverQuest 2 isn't a proper PvP game and tbh all the stupid tinkering for the pvp minority has damaged the proper PvE everquest was so good at providing, When you end up runing the total balance of classes just because some whiney PvP'er isn't happy who then comes back and [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]es even more about PvP. Cataclysmic Mind doesn't even work in PvE yet SoE has deemed to alter it for PvP, maybe they should fix the game for the majority of their customers instead of messing about with badly concieved PvP content and the people who play it.

YET they do have mana pool (that can be drained ... Alzid anyone?). Ability of mob to execute certain CA (cast spell) depend on current volume of mana but mana itself is constant.... Thats why that stupid Cata Mind never goes off... </P> <P>Once upon time long long time ago in place that far far from KOS coercers have weaked version of this spell imf 4 coercers were able kill outright Terror in DOF. It was especially nice then spell worked on ANY mana reduction spells ... Imagine 4 coercers + 4 defilers ... = dead mob instantly... Our Reactives in that sweet time also did some unbelievable damage lol I recall on Lockjaw fight Spell Lash on average proced 30000-34000 damage (lol my personal record did over 140000 damage on Lockjaw) - that been nerfed badly too</P> <P>And so to speak I dont give a danm about PvP, this game been promissed by developers to be oriented for PvE so I really want to see Mind line back to regular nuke (2000-2700 mental damage with 9s would be good number for M1)</P>

<DIV>the reason mobs dont use mana anymore is because back in the day when you did pedastal of sky raid zone, you could use cataclystic mind (the t6 version anyway forgot its name) and it would kill the dragon instantly because they used soo much power. Now.. because of stuff like that mobs don't use alot of power <EM>at all.</EM> power drains are worthless anyway. I remember in t5 always trying to drain epics powers so they didnt cast their AE's. 1) Can we get a screenshot of the supposdly nerfed version of the spell so we can be clear about exactly what got changed? 2) You people do realize that the effect a spell has in PvP and PvE are two totally seperate things, and the devs have the ability to change one without altering the other? This spell may be useless in PvE, but in PvP it's our bread and butter, along with Auspex and Spell Lash. So before we start flying off the handle here about how PvE is being gimped because of PvP, let's see a screenshot of the "new" version of the spell and see what it does. 3) On the off chance that this is true and it's being reduced to a one time trigger type spell I'd be greatly disappointed. Coercers already have it rough in PvP because not only are we casters and get mowed down by any type of melee class, we're the least offensive of all the casters, so taking away one of our only three abilities that let us do some real damage would not be cool. <div></div>

<DIV>Well ... then you do 3 group Labs run and not doing simutenious killing Vienm and Alzid its really easy to start killing Alzid first THEN kill Viemm... Plus it not take THAT long to drain him dry scouts heavy raid + coercer suck him dry under 3-4 min</DIV>

First of all RatWithGun when PVPing your spells have different stats. Make sure you have a tiny bit of a clue. Second of all you should really do some reading. The MMORPG PVP population dwarfs the Carebears. We are here just stay on your servers with the fluffy bunnys and we will stay on ours.

Again this class has been tortured and nerfed all to hell by soe best bet is to quit this toon and reroll another! coercers were awesome day one but now they just plain suck thank you soe for destroying this class!!

Getting back to the original point of this thread, I tried out Cataclysmic Mind in PvP over the last week and it works just like it did before. I assume that extra line about the 1 trigger thing is something to do with the thoughtstone it gives, but as far as I could tell this spell hasn't changed any at all, which is good. <div></div>
