oh no >.< wards.... why are we getting wards, just look at illusionists' new achievements and compare. So, how do those wards work? 66dmg ward? thats like 0.01% of our health at lv70... the entire efficiency line seems useless too, power isnt a problem for us, we should get resistability%+ instead like illu's aa line

The manaward is supposed to prevent power drains. Although at only 330 points maxed out (5 x 66), it's not sounding all that useful. Fitzpitzle can drain for upwards of 10k in a single shot.I'd have to see it being 10x better for seeing any use in the PvE environment. Now as for PvP, it might have some better uses.As for the power line, I wouldn't mind the extra power. I've run into people who can burn through my mana regen, and I'm mostly mastered (adept 3 in beholder's eye). Reduction of 2.5 minutes on Channel would be nice, as would the self power increases. It could mean I can burn down power to DPS and then still charge myself back up later in the fight to channel to others. As for the Mindbend issue... have you tried to do that option and found that you couldn't? Because I thought it says "requires 3 points in X" not "requires 3 ranks in X". 3 points would mean putting just 1 rank is enough to open the next in line. If it's not letting you select it, then possibly this is just a bug in that it's not looking at points when it should?

I see, so the manaward is ward against power dmg, i dont really see that happen often in pve server except on mt

So with this new AAs, i think soe really wants to set coercer in mt grp forever with spells like thoughts snap, manaward and coersive healing, but i was really hoping for an AA like this

Alternate : Possession

*alllows possession to be cast in combat and on caster's pet

Repost from my post on the beta board:

Coercer AA

This post does not take pvp into account as I couldnt care less. I play a lvl 70 raiding coercer on splitpaw, thats where Im comming from.

Lines:

Efficiency
Reduces mana cost 3% per rank on the following spells

level 1 Stun power dot

level 2a Root

level 3a Encounter stun

level 2b AE daze DD

level 3b pbaoe stun DD

Feedback
First of all coercers dont need more mana so the rest is a little moot.
Secondly the spells that the line can modify are spells that are rarely cast in a raid setting.
I would cergest that the spells modified be changed to our DD being the starter and the left side changing to our 2 dots.
This will make the line actually have an all around effect instead on only being usfull when soloing.
It would still be weak though if you made it give 15% pr rank it would still be weak due to basicly not being needed in any way.
It kinda sets up the coercer to use the final AA in the enchanter int line. ([expletive haxx0red by Raijinn])

Resistances
level 1 Starts out by adding the ability to remove mental effects to our dispell. at the cost of 5 points.
*BUG* It adds the ability to remove divine and magic to the spell.
I tried, I really did but I cant think of a single mob in the game that this would help on, not one.
Even if it removed divine, magic and mental it still woulnt help.
Its too expencive and pointless.

Level 2 adds 3% per rank to the debuff amount on our debuff dot.
A good and valuable skill.

Level 3 adds 3% to the resistability of our magic debuff. Good and usefull in some situations.

Level 4 adds 3% to the resistability of charm. This one is a real kick in the teeth. Our main source of conflict in groups and on raids is charm brakes and this is what we get to help?
Charm has 2 issues, the con cost and the brakes. This ability should help with one or the other. I think it should make charm 3% more likly to run to full duration. I cant tell you how important it is for coercers that we get a chance to do something about charm. Something fun could be that every rank adds an aditional effect on brake or just upps the duration on the brake mezz and adds to resistability.

Mana
level 1 adds 3% to mana heal on our mana dot. Nice

level 2a gives back some mana regen. Nice but has a rounding error. Check the code for beholder. It works.

level 2b gives 3% mana heal on our hp converter. A bit weak should be 5% I think.

level 3 adds 3% mana heal on our int debuff. This ends up being 1 more mana per tick if you max it. A bit weak

level 4a adds back some mana regen on beholders eye. from a percentage point of view this is over powered.

level 4b adds 3% to the heal amount on mana cloak. Not tested since my betabuffed char doesnt have it but it seems weak.

level 5b improves reuse speed on channel by 30 sec per rank. Nice I guess.

Coersion
level 1 adds 3% resistability and reduces mana cost by 3% on Tyranical mind. Considering that mobs pretty much dont use mana how is this spell ever going to be anything but pointless? If the spell was made iresistable and free to cast it would still suck. Scrap it and pick something else. Description is buggy

level 2a adds 1% to deagro. Not really needed but nice. *BUG* it doesnt reduce agro, it reduces the chance to proc. If you max it it goes from 100% to 95% chance to proc

level 2b adds 1 more trigger to melee reactive and 5 sec duration. This spell very often runs out before proc'ing 3 times even on epics so I really think duration should go up 10 sec. Other than that its nice. Description is buggy

level 2c adds 1 more trigger to spell reactive and 5 sec duration. This one needs a little help. It might be an ide to add to ae radius as well since the spell radius is 5 meter. Description is buggy

level 3 adds a trigger to mindbend and adds 5 sec to duration. A bit weak. *BUG* this spell was included in the change where low level spells where made worthless against higher level mobs. That really needs to be adressed if you want it to be in our AA tree.

This complets the lines. Now for the final abilities.

Thought snap opens up after 15 ranks in efficiency.
Forces all mobs in target encounter to target a random tank in the coercers group and stay on target 5 sec. 1 sec cast time, 3 min recast. 3% easyer to resist.
Seems well thought out and balanced.

Tashania opens up with 15 ranks in resist.
Reduces mental resists for 700 per rank. max 3500. Duration 5 sec and recast 90 sec, it is 54% harder to resist. This is weak. This is very very weak. This needs to compare to illusionists adding 100% resistability to GROUP resists for 10 sec out of 90. Coercers needs to land this spell and then it will the enchanters and ONLY the enchanters in the group/raid land 1 spell?
This spell should debuff if not all magic resists then atleast mental, magic and divine. And the duration should be 10 sec.

Manaward opens up with 15 ranks in mana
Adds a 66 mana ward per point max 333. This is pointless. When mobs use power drains you make [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] sure the players know they have been drained. 333 will not make a visible difference. I would think 500 per rank would be about right I think. Description is buggy. It says it wards against all damage.

Coersive healing opens up with 15 ranks in Coersion.
It basicly adds 15% to heal amount while adding 10% to cost. 1 rank at the cost of 5 points. A little bit weak I think. Add 5% heal amount or maybe better only add 5% to cost. Its 1 healer we are talking about here.

Conclusion
All in all I think the coercer AA's are average in general but when compared to the illusionists AA's it is well below them in power.

O M G. Does the team that developed these AA's even have a coercer toon? All the AA's sound like utter crap. Like our current AA's I must add. Only thing I like about the AA's now is the WIS line where you can increase your resists for all kinds of damage. I'm glad that's left in, there rest is just sucky. I saw Illus get a buff that increases spell landing chances of an entire group. I want that kind of stuff. Not a pathetic little ward vs drain. We are support class, then give us some real support jobs. Decreasing resistability would be grand.... bah i feel shafted by this *NEW* and *IMPROVED* AA line. It sucks.

Sorry I must disagree. I think at least 3 of the 4 final abilities have raid potential. I would like to see a longer duration on Tashiana, but other than that, they dont look all that bad. Be creative.

As to the Illusionist vs Coercer deal, since I have both I can honestly say it is about time Illusionist got some love compared to Coercers. Thay have been the red headed step child in utility so this kinda evens it out.

Here's a refresher: Decreases Mitigation of target vs mental damage, 700 per Rank/ 1pt per Rank/ 5 Ranks Mental damage only. Who else, besides coercers, do mental damage? What good would 3500 debuff in mental for 5 seconds do? Woohoo, I just MIGHT be able to get off sonic boom before that's up, so one target will take a lil more damage on it. Its crap. Pure and simple. Incoming post with screenshots of all AA's for further clarity.

In regards to the two ranks of Spell Scourge increased duration / trigger; it seems to me an extra 5 seconds per rank is generally not going to be long enough to proc a single trigger of this line, due to the infrequent nature of CAs from NPCs, so both the extra triggers gained with rank will rarely be fired.

I think it's probably worth getting for that alone, especially since it's not like there are many other good ones to choose from.

Thanks Laewyn... screenshots help

The only 2 final buffs that i'd consider are either the healing one, or the "target a fighter only" ones... as for myself, im still debating on wether to go down the Mana or Ceorsin line. I might mix them up a bit, since even if I go down one type completly theres still a few points left. *shrug* guess we'll have to see the raid encounters in EoF!

I did Thules quest tho I also considered Inny. The main reason i went away from Inny is that most of his stuff involved taunts and increased hate... bad for a lil TP wearer lol.

Im going to go Sol ro if i have to pick a god, he gives more damage even if we can't use the fire only abilities, and Thule is all about fear and most of it is useless as a raider becuase none of it hits epics...and the 25% damage bonus from thule is not as great as a 300-400 proc on every hostile spell

not all are 10min buffs some are 1 min...some are 5min just depends on how powerful each one is.Here are Sol Ro's abilities...not all are correct as this list isn't updated or in order anymore, but you can get the idea from it.Teir 1: Granted upon completing Initial Deity QuestRo's Fury - 750 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 10 minutesEffects:

On a successful hostile spell this spell will always cast Ro's Flames on target of spell.

Inflicts 261-391 heat damage on target

Special: See Description

Notes: This seems like it'll be an awesome ability for any offensive caster. Basically think Bone Clasped Girdle, though 100% proc rate. For necromancers, it's like an extra lich proc without the lifetap portion. The recast is harsh, meaning if raiding you'll really have to make SURE it's up for the named, but when using it, it'll be awesome.Wrath of the Burning Prince - 1125 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 10 minutesEffects:

If the next spell cast is fire-based, it will inflict massive damage.

Makes caster always do critical damage on spell attacks

Special: See Description

Notes: Fairly bad because this spell only procs on next damage, and then is gone. So for wizards or other fire-casters it might be kinda-OK, but for everyone else it's merely a single guaranteed crit. Quite bad.Teir 2: - Granted upon completing 2nd Quest, "Ro's Infernal Device" (35)Blessing of Solusek - 875 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 10 minutesEffects:

Increases Mitigation of caster vs heat damage by 2240 - 3360

When target takes this spell will always cast Soothing Fire on caster.

Heals caster for 112 - 208

Special: See Description

Notes: no, that's not a typo of mine, but the effect doesn't actually say WHEN the heal proc is triggered. I would guess it is on heat damage, but that is a pure guess. If you know that you're going up against a heat-AE mob, this could be really great both for the mit and for the slight heal proc, but I would say that the heal isn't worth a LOT if you're against something that requires an extra 3k heat mitigation, and if you're hit frequently enough for the proc to be good, you probably don't need the mitigation as much. Bump the heal amount IMO to make it better.Sun Sphere - 1312 FavorTarget: EnemyCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 24 secondsRange: Up to 35.0 metersEffects:

Summons a limited pet to aid the caster

Special: See Description

Notes: Seems like a standard swarm pet like necromancers and summoners get, though with a re-cast of an hour, it's even worse than the item drop in DT that gives a triggerable swarm pet that has a half-hour re-cast. Unless this thing is a complete ball of fury that does 10k+ damage before it expires, I'd say this is a waste of favor due to the extreme re-cast time.Teir 3: - Unknown when it is unlockedInferno's Glory - 1000 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 10 minutesEffects:

The duration and damage of all heat-based spells is increased by 20%.

Special: See Description

Notes: Good for any classes that are mainly heat-based (wizards, wardens to a lesser degree), but completely useless for those without heat-based spells.Solusek's Soothing Scorch - 1500 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 1 minuteEffects:

On a successful hostile spell this spell will always cast Sooth on caster.

Heals caster for 10% of max health

Increases power of caster by 10%

Grants a total of 5 triggers of the spell.

Special: See Description

Notes: Definitely a worth-getting ability for raiders. Essentially, if you're nearly out of power, use this, and you've got another half-bar of mana. Also potentially useful for Crusaders, as their offensive spells should also trigger this, letting them have more power for taunting, though their fighting style means it is unlikely that many will take the entire deity for this one ability. But unless your heroic fights have a tendancy to run extreme durations, this is a raid-oriented ability.Teir 4: - Unknown when it is unlockedSolusek's Gift - 1125 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 10 minutesEffects:

Heat-based spells are 30% harder for your enemies to resist.

Special: See Description

Notes: Even raiding, this spell seems only marginally useful unless mob resists are getting a LOT harder to penetrate than they used to be. And it's only for fire spells too, not all of them, so class usefulness is restricted as well. Quite marginal IMO.Spear of the Sun - 1687 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 1 minuteEffects:

Reduces reuse timers, casting timers, and power cost of fire-based spells by 50%.

Summons a pet Spear of the Sun

Special: See Description

Notes: Awesome if a fire-using class, though restricted to them. The pet is a big unknown on this, which could make it "good" if it DID something, but that is completely unknown. So it's either useless for a non-fire class, or the added effect could be worth it. But again, awesome for wizards, up in the air for everybody else.Teir 5: - Unknown when it is unlockedServant of Flame - 1250 FavorTarget: SelfCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourDuration: 10 minutesEffects:

Summons a pet servant of flame

Special: See Description

Notes: if this is a controllable pet like other summoner pets, this could be quite godly for whomever takes it. Likely a fire-wizard type like Conjurors get, but this is purely speculation. Not enough information here to say whether this is good/bad/mediocre.Incineration - 1875 FavorTarget: EnemyCasting: 1.5 secondsRecovery: InstantRecast: 1 hourRange: Up to 10.0 metersEffects:

Inflicts 100% of max health in heat damage on target

If Target is not Epic

Inflicts 13033 heat damage on target

If Target is Epic

Special: See Description

Notes: Because power cost is not found in popup descriptions, this ability could be a once-an-hour free manaburn, or a manaburn equivalent that simply kills the opponent (if non-epic). Definitely neat, though again, until somebody actually unlocks it to see the power cost, this is an unknown.
