<DIV>Right now my Coercer is level 32. I have played almost exclusively other than my forst 15 levels as an Illusionist. Our spells at my level seem very low in damage done. So do Coercers playing alone at this level kite? Is there some way to combat our attacks in some sequence that does more damage? I'd really like to learn how some of you either approach or have approached leveling at this level and later for that matter. I'm just passing through my 30s.</DIV>

grab a demented medic in EL as pet and put Sybillant (preferable as M2 choice) on your target and see how that works...<div></div>

Get a master 1 charm and charm a caster. Target the solo mobs. Send pet, Sibyllant, HO nuke.. They'll go down faster than a 5 dollar [Removed for Content] looking at a 100 dollar bill.<div></div>

<div></div>With a master charm on a caster pet and using nuke/mez cycling, taking down yellow ^^^ blightrats in RV is more than plausible, it's trivial. I'm not entirely sure that's how the poster is implying he soloed them though, especially when he talks about using the DPS buff as though it made all the difference - when soloing heroics, pets obviously don't get to auto-attack very long, only during periods of stun, so the DPS buff impact on your overall DPS is negligible. Not a totally impossible claim, but the way he describes it certainly is odd (and why wouldn't he be able to solo in EL using the same strategy?)Anyway, the secret to soloing at low-med levels is to be lucky enough to find a master charm so you can tear through content with a caster pet. This doesn't happen to all of us, though; I didn't get a master charm until 47. Instead I relied heavily on procs from the Sibyllant line (and later Spell Lash); remember that if you root the creature your pet is fighting, your opponent will target your pet because he can't get to you, thus triggering the reactive even if you can't keep aggro off yourself. Just consider the pet's purpose to be a reactive trigger and punching bag for the damage you can't afford to take - and if he's a caster, a bit of added DPS, because at Adept 3 caster pet damage is still pretty decent. Use your stuns to expend his lifespan when necessary, and when he's nearly dead finish him off and grab a new one.<div></div><p>Message Edited by The Dark Savant on <span class=date_text>10-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:31 PM</span>

Absolutely, the auto-attack damage adds up and most pets are disposable anyway. <div></div>

The maiden of midnight is probably one of the most overpowered pets you can charm at that level in RV, and if you take one a bit higher then the blightrats ( a level 40 would be perfect) then i can see how he did yellow blightrats. What he probably forgot to tell is that the second he gets a couple of resists in a row he is dead meat.</div><p>Message Edited by Dekiri on <span class=date_text>10-31-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:52 AM</span>
