View Full Version : Coercers and which healer?
<div></div><div></div>OK, I resurrected an old post when searching for suggestions. But it should probably die, and MANY changes seem to have happened since it originated. So I'll ask again:I run three Coercers, but figure I will drop one for a healer. No I dont want to drop two and add some other class, just find a healer two help out with survivability when a pet turns on me.Heres some thoughts:Warden - Another single root, which is nice when taking on groups of mobs. An AE root too. Evac. Fast heals. Two nukes, to help out with the three Coercer nukes to drop stuff fast.Fury - Int buff. DOTing and AEing is not something I would want to do with the Coercers, so probably not this guy.Inquisitor - Mental debuffing DOT. Sounds nice since I mental nuke primarily once pets are in. PBAE stun might help with recharming. Another Reactive DD, does anyone know if it stacks with Coercers, or if Coercers can stack theirs like DOTs?Defiler - Wards sound to me like the best form of healing. I have low mitigation. So this helps out with time wise as I manage multiple characters. He uses a spear, which looks like a staff, so my characters would look more similar, which is a plus for me.So Warden has root/evac, Inquisitor has mental debuff/reactives/stun/fear, Defiler has wards.I am also open to having the healer be a Qeynosian any of their abilities would really benefit Coercers more.Comments and suggestions appreciated.Thanks,Mal<div></div><p>Message Edited by Faelos on <span class="date_text">10-19-2006</span> <span class="time_text">11:16 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Faelos on <span class=date_text>10-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:17 AM</span>

<DIV>I would go go with fury! for a few reasons:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. int / agi buff (mostly for the agi) means more dps for yer coercer</DIV> <DIV>2. can buff charmed melee pets for more dps and haste</DIV> <DIV>3. can buff charmed pet with a damage shield which will help with DPS</DIV> <DIV>4. Fast casting heals!</DIV> <DIV>5. Best healer single target nukes in the game!</DIV> <DIV>6. If no good pet available can let fury tank they do really well even on yellow if geared decently (mastercrafted)</DIV> <DIV>7. But this goes for warden too can get charm AA to charm a pet with 2 coercer and 1 fury / warden can have a group of 6 if all get a pet! UBAH DPS!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your reasons for not picking this class over a warden:</DIV> <DIV>1. Roots ? you have a coercer why do you need roots?</DIV> <DIV>2. fury does dots? he doesnt have to cast them they are minor damage anyways the single target nukes are tha bomb tho!</DIV> <DIV>3. fast heals similar to fury!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<div></div>Well the roots are more for when I set up for encounters before I get AE Mez, three roots mean I can start off with them all stuck. But yeah, later the benefits mean less.In looking at all the healers again, heres what Im coming up with:Defiler. PBAE fear, for when I get rushed by an encounter and two pets turn on me. Wards. Now I havent tried them, but I figure it would be nice to avoid even taking the damage. Or are fast heals better than wards?Fury. Int boosts. More int is more damage. Snare and stifle surrounding enemies. Do they actually get a single target DD?Inquisitors. Decrease all resistances. Decrease Mental and DOT. So double debuffs for my DDs. PBAE stun, nice for recharming or mezing. More reactive DDs. Do these stack with Coercer? Do Coercer stack with Coercer? Might be cool.Mystic. PBAE MezWarden. PBAE root. Single roots (nice to start). Fast heals. Evac.I see alot of things that might be nice in Inquisitor. Stuff should stick better. DDs should hit for more. Maybe reactives stack.Ok more comment guys.Mal<div></div><p>Message Edited by Faelos on <span class=date_text>10-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>03:05 PM</span>
