How do you think it's gonna play out in regards to the Raiding Coercer, having certain buffs become useful again. Will our DPS mod become raidwide? If we are limited to 5 cons slots and already have a raidwide deaggro buff, I see no reason for the "group friend" limitation. I also think it's a good thing that my DPS mod will mean something to all the melee that can selfbuff themselves.Thoughts, ideas?
Message Edited by feronia28 on 09-30-2006 09:17 AM
Message Edited by feronia28 on 09-30-2006 09:18 AM

I just can't wait to see the assassin with a 200% dps mod... hmm that's going to be disgusting. I also hope to see some sort of extra aggro buff for the MT cause it's going to be a pain to hold aggro against someone who is parsing in the 3k's. I'm also interested in seeing the new AA setup, we'll have alot to talk about when that comes along. Esci 70 Coercer LDL Vigilance

Well they said there are diminishing returns... it's best to start thinking of Haste and DPS mods as flat numbers, not actual %'s anymore.200 "%" will really be like having +125% of the haste or DPS... not 200%. Otherwise, haste will have met it's cap: 0 time to swing... infinite swings per second?

I kinda like some of it being limited so that half the raid cant yell for you to buff them. Lol, tho the raid wide dehate is very nice imo. Theres simply not enough slots for our con would love to see more slots personally before anymore changed buffs.

I think it's a good thing. I can self buff 66% DPS mod on my assassin, so with another 65% (adept 3 impetus) we have 131% and I can get another 66% from Deadly Focus (short term buff) giving me 197%. It actually makes DPS mod buffs useful to an assassin and its feasible to put an assassin with a coercer after this change, where currently it's a bit of a waste. The acrylia strength ring procs another 26%, so I can get 92% in pretty much every fight without any buffs.Just makes some buffs a bit more useful and beneficial, even though the difference wont actually be that great due to the diminishing returns.

The way I understood it is that you would get the full benefit of a dps mod up to 125% then any percentage after 125% will be a 1/4 of a percent or .25%. So, if a player had 200% dps mod they would really only have 143.75%.

Assasins self buff around 66% dps, whilst rangers self buff haste around 41% with a master buff.Haste items are easy to find, but there's hardly any DPS mod items, yet another reason why assasins will always be ahead of rangers on raids.
