Can anyone recommend a pet to charm in SS. I'm level 43 with a master charm, root, mezzes etc. Most of the time I am in a group so rarely use a pet, but I fancy solo'ing a bit tonight and was wondering which pet could help me out.Kinda sucks I only have 5AA pts atm, though i've been saving all my collections, L+L, heritage quests till 70 when hopefully they will get me a decent amount of AA xp.

If you think you can handle it go grab one of the gnoll diviners by the twin tears, they are fury mobs, but they are also lvl 51-52 so you might want to wait on that. On a side note, don't save all the L&L till 70. The old world ones (heh, is it old world now? cap at lvl 50 and will then start turning blue and green on you. Same with HQs, but you probably knew that one already.Vydian

Don't save them, use them as you complete them. Why not get the benefits of the AA's along the way?

The idea of waiting till 70 was too simply maximise my AA, I planned on mentoring down to 20 before examining the final pieces of the L+L items.Just hit 44, and chose the master 2 aoe stun, I have finally started to see just how impressive the stun line is. Before this I have just been mezzing and thats pretty much it, the stuns have added a new dimension to my game.Got to say, I love my coercer in dungeon xp groups, the number of times I have saved my group is bordering on silly.I never run with a charmed pet as normally all my slots are taken with buffs, I am in usually in very dps heavy groups and there doesnt seem the need to grab a pet.I havent done much solo'ing with the class, so my experience there is very limited sadly. At the moment I am looking to go down the Agility line in my AA's, the improved casting speed seems very appealing.

At your level the Glyphskull skeletons are a good bet. They're just at the top of the ramp and they're warlocks, so with your M1 charm they can nuke for up to 2100 occasionally, but even on their "normal" attack they do about 400-600.

My experience in SS is this order

Ghoul 46 - 49

Sinister Ghoul 50

Exiled Kromtor (wizard version) 51 - rest of your time in SS..

Boy oh boy.. that Giant is a machine gun of big (2k) nukes. And it heals to full when you break charm.

Those giants giants are great if you're on a PvP server. Just wait until your pet takes even a little bit of damage from the guy trying to kill you, and then break charm. Pet goes back to heroic and lays waste to all around him. Then just mez, recharm and be on your way

Instant heroic buddy wiping the floor with your foe.

I'll have to try that. For some reason when I tried breaking charm when the pet had taken no damage it came straight for me. So I assumed it would agro on me by default unless someone had more hate than I did by attacking it.

(Like those lvl 9 spies in EL following you around shouting your position)I guess its not quite allowed, but.. Meh. I find them annoying and well, if they use stupid methods to keep track of someone, I use whatever I have available to foil them.
