I know that we're a good combo together, but at lvl 43 we're having some trouble duo'ing.  Not that we have done it much.  I know upgrading spells is obviously important, her tank pet spell is adept 3 as is my beguile but we haven't seems to hammer down our strat right.  Suggestions?<div></div>

What are you trying to achieve? What specific trouble are you having? If I were doing that combo, I'd buff the tank pet with hate and DPS, and pick up a tasty caster pet and use it for DPS as well as my DoT's etc, firing off stuns and such when needed. Chain stun if the mob you're fighting is tough.<div></div>

That is pretty much what we're doing.  Again she has a adept 3 tank pet but if a mez breaks, game over.  I think that is more the issue than anything.  I buff the hell out of the pet, try to mez adds... it's all simple really but for some reason it's not working as well as you'd think.  <div></div>

Keep on truckin and get 50 and get Psychic Wail (err Sonic Boom is upgraded version, the PBAE stun)...that should help alot, I usually chain stun then when that wears off I tell the necro to stun and as soon as his is off just root it as best you can (mindbend comes in handy, lvl 55 though, here) until your stuns are back up and go for another round.

I've tried the coercer/necro thing at lower levels (20s).  Even con heroics seem to rip the necro pet a new one pretty fast.  You can always withdraw the pet, mez/root the mob while the necro heals the pet or your stuns recycle.  The only problem is as both classes have mostly DoTs it can be a pain timing or cancelling them so root/mez wont break.<div></div>

<DIV>My main duoing partner is also a necro, and we're also lvl 43.   We have no trouble doing even and blue heroics--we haven't tried yellows recently, but I should think we'd be up to that task as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You already stated the most important thing you can do to improve your chances:  upgrade your spells.  All of our spells are adept3 or master.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Beyond that, I don't know what specific problems you're having, but I can say what we generally do when duoing:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First, of course, put the hate buff on the pet and the hate reducer on both you and the necro.  Put the DPS buff on the pet.  I've tried charming; I find that we're much more effective when I don't use a pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>He lays his DoT's down before ever stunning.  Only after he's got all his damage on the mob does he start stunning.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>He heals his pet/lifetaps as much and as often as possible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I chain group mez on any group heroic to minimise damage to his tank pet.  He keeps his adept 3 defensive pet buff up at all times.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After his pet has aggro, I lead with a stun or daze (ego shock/strike/whatever it's called at this level).  Then I apply both single target DOTs (helps to put them both on the same macro key).  I use master I consuming thoughts every fight, after having laid down all my Dots, and the AA mana/health transfer to friend almost every fight.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I try to space out the group-stun/single stun/daze so that there's a couple seconds' space between them.  Chaining all the stuns right off the bat leaves you with a big time-window during which you're vulnerable.  Also, once all his DOTs are on the mob, he picks up some of the stunning slack.   When the mob is nearing half hp, I lay down all my reactives--rarely get aggro, or if I do, the mob gets only one or two swings in. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Our fights are rarely even close--so I have to assume that either 1)your spells are not high enough quality 2)you're attacking yellow and orange heroics</DIV>
