<DIV>Hi everyone,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First thing, please forgive my broken english, be sure that I will do my best to make things understandable and do not hesitate to correct mistakes <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have recently started a new coercer as my first EQII char, based on the forum description of the playstyle.</DIV> <DIV>It has now reached level 22, and I'm really having a lot of fun with it (and my bunch of stupid deaths too <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ).</DIV> <DIV>I want to thank all coercers around here for the work on sticked tutorials, they are just full of usefull stuff. I really wonder what I would have done without them ! Do not hesitate to keep them updated, it is soooo useful for new coercers...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There's a thing I haven't found in this forum however, it's the description of the level 22 abilities:</DIV> <DIV>- Regen Heatlh</DIV> <DIV>- Additional Health</DIV> <DIV>- Regen power</DIV> <DIV>- Additional power</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I immediatly eliminate regen or additionnal heatlh since I feel my main concern is power.</DIV> <DIV>I usually prefer regen power, but we already have some buffs for that.</DIV> <DIV>However I almost never empty ma power bar at the moment with breeze and debuffs on, so additional power doesn't look a must have.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What was your choice back in those early days ? Does that choice has any impact at higher levels ? What would you advise me to pick-up ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maelick</DIV>

I chose the power regen every time I had the choice, as it's the most difficult of those stats to rack up later on. (Regen health might be more so, but the potions for that are more efficient, and you will (hopefully) use health up less often than you use your power up <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Also, your english is better than 99% of people who don't feel any need to make an apology about it...<div></div>

<P>The last time I respec'ed, I went for more power.  Power regen you will have plenty of.  I can hit the in-combat cap on my 70 coercer (105 points/tick from items and spells).  Overall power pool is always nice to have.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Thank you for your answers.</DIV> <DIV>I have chosen more regen, we will see later if that was the best choice <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maelick</DIV>

Let's assume that a level 70 has about 6k power pool, which is probably pretty close for a mage with halfway decent gear.If they take the extra 2.5% power twice, their power pool would be 6300If they take the extra 5 regen twice, their power pool would be 6000 and they would regen 10/tick, aka 100 per minuteSo... the regen is better if you are talking about fights that last more than 3 minutes. Less than that and you're better off with a bigger power pool.<div></div>
