Magical Whip Effect still around?

    Just a quick question.. do we coercer's still have any spells that display that awesome (imo) spell effect that looked like the caster was wielding a huge multicolored magical whip? I stopped playing a month after release and just started again, but it seems most spell effects are still around. I haven't seen this one though, that would suck if we don't get it anymore. Anyone know if we do, and what spells have it? ThanksP.S. The coercer spell effects are still some of my favorite so far.<div></div>

Yes although I'm not sure it's as multicolored as the old Enchanter Spell "Gloom" I used to love that.The whip effect is for the Spell Whip line of spells and the Tyranical mind line of spells.

The one downside to the whip effect is the strain it put on the game.  If I had more than one target displaying the effect, it would lock the game up for 1 or 2 seconds.<div></div>

Ah okay, good to know. I'm kind of glad that they reduced some of the more elaborate spell effects to a relatively small amount of spells- minor spells having such grand effects diminishes the awesomeness of it, imo.I'm only 16 so far, I really enjoy most of the effects I've seen so far, particularly charm, blink, gloom, and the DOT that explodes on the target into a rainbow of symbols. Pretty creative stuff, my kudos to the folks who developed the effects. Anyone out there reading this have any particular favorites from the Coercer line of spells?<div></div>

Hmmm glad it's not jsut me with the pausing. I'm running a good spec PC and even with the particle effects on low it still freezes for a sec - v annoyingThe last time I used this spell effect was a while ago (back in the days of Enchanter class) on a lower end PC and it never stuttered....?PS the spell effects ARE nice, but after a while when you've played some alts and grouped some more you'll see that a lot of spell effects are recycled....<p>Message Edited by ximo on <span class=date_text>09-12-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:20 PM</span>

i have crappy comp running on raid settinds <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and i still see it with no lag nicely, very cool..kinda a giveaway when trying to sneak cast it though <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
