<DIV>I still count as a newbie coercer, but I've got something to share with others that are considering creating a coercer: the Erudite 'aura sense' (whatever it's called) is of GREAT assistance in picking out pets to charm.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've got many characters - so yeah, I'm not committed to any one class - and memorizing the combat styles of all the monsters is not something I'm going to do. Being able to scope out which mobs are mages, which are priests, and which are 'something else' is a TOTALLY useful ability. Sure, the range isn't the greatest, but it's sufficient - especially when you stealth around inspecting an area before you back off and begin to fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, it's a great way to tell when you should start a fight with Stifle - or Despotic Mind, if you prefer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Charms break at the worst times and we die a lot more than most of the classes, so significant advantages like aura sense are definitely worthy of consideration.</DIV>
