In all honesty, it doesn't matter.  In 6 levels all of those spells will more than likely be replaced.  Choose the spell you use the most, and go with that! <div></div>

I took the Master II Fascinate.  AD1 or AD3 for everything else is good for soloing and grouping, in my opinion.  I am a level 29 Coercer now.

<DIV>I picked mez, and bought the sibyllant m1. Not too shabby damage, and I have a mez that is neve resisted. for the win. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>sibyllant was cheap too. 20g.</DIV>

Ditto - Select Fascinate, buy the M1 Syb, then you'll be in good shape.

To offer a contrary view...I was able to secure a M1 for my mez, so I took Sibyllant as my training choice. I have never regretted it. My mez almost never resists except against oranges, which I'd expect even from the M2 version, since that's how it was when I took mez for my training choice at 14.Sib, on the other hand, is one of my bread and butter spells. It easily accounts for a huge chunk of my dps; I use it in almost every fight whether grouping or soloing--whereas I am only mezzing when I need to, and I use Terrible Awe more often than single-target mez for crowd control. My view is that both are valid and effective choices, depending on your play style.<div></div>

<DIV>How is that a contrary view? Some said select Mez and buy Syb; you say select Syb and buy Mez. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]?</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Nolomite on <span class=date_text>09-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:11 AM</span>

Didn't you just answer your own question?<div></div>

My Coercer is only 16 so far but I just found the lvl 24 mez for 11g so I bought it.  Guess when I get there I will take Syb as my master 2.

Who peed in your Cheerios this morning? The OP asked whether he should take mez or reactive at 24. The consensus in the thread so far was that he should train mez and buy reactive master. I said take reactive training and buy mez master. If you don't define that as taking a contrary view, I suggest remedial English.I also suggest going and doing something more productive than griefing someone on a pedantic and irrevelant detail of their post when said post was on-topic.<div></div>

Thank you for your suggestion: If I ever decide to respect you, I'll consider following it.

So I make an on-topic contribution, you flame with irrelevant pedantry about the correct use of the phrase "contrary view", I correct you, and you think I need your respect?Too funny. I guess this is a NCLB education at work. Best wishes on your future career in food service.<div></div>

No problem. To elaborate a bit on my affection for the Sibyllant line, consider that you cannot keep a mob stunned constantly. You can mez it, but that only puts the fight on hold; as soon as the mob takes damage, mez will break. That means that the majority of the time during a fight, a mob will be attacking. Whether it's attacking you, your pet, the tank, or someone you don't want it to be hitting, it will be attacking. And even caster mobs will melee between spells.Normally this is a net negative for you. You/pet/tank receive damage, get nothing out of it. Sib turns that into a net positive, and turns your pet into a tar baby--the more the mob attacks, the more it dies. For extra fun, duo with a fury, have them put thorns on your pet, and heal it while you pet tank. So sick. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I realize that for 99% of you I'm putting on my Captain Obvious hat. The above is written for the people who haven't yet figured out the true usefulness of Sibyllant.

<DIV>The only problem I have with Sib....I am running out of bags for my thoughtstones....</DIV>

You know, when I first read about spells requiring thoughtstones, I thought it was going to be a pain having to make sure you had one. Now I keep a stack of 99 in one of my bags (mostly for emergencies) and destroy the rest at the end of each outing. I think I actually destroy more of them than I use.<div></div>

<DIV>I keep no more than 30 thoughtstones on me. Well I usually have more, but I delete anywhere from 200-500 thoughtstones almost daily. Its so annoying!</DIV>
