Better to duo with a necro or conj?

This is my first post in ages on these boards.  I just started replaying my 50 coercer again and my husband is thinking about playing as well.  He wants to play a pet class, either a necro or a conj.  We mostly duo, altho we do group up with others once in a while.  I'd probably mentor him after he hits lvl 15 or so.  I've got M1 dominate so I use that when i can grab a good pet.  Is a conj better since I hear their tank pet is better?  Or go necro for the rez and FD?  Haven't played either class so not sure which'd complement me better <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Thanks!<div></div>

<P>I have a 70 necro so I am biased but in my opinion grouping with a necro would be easier for a duo, you both would have freeport as your home base other than that it doesn't matter, both classes pets are good, my tank pet is just as good as a conjurors only in a different way, the huge difference in classes is style and utility, conj tanks take less damage because they work "through" their pets while necros work beside them, in other words conjurors have tons of pet buffs and stuns that allow the pet to do a lot of their damage and mitigate a lot of incoming damage, necros work on a more burn and heal principle, we cant neccesarily keep the damage from hitting or pets as well but we can heal the damage and use lifetaps to replenish our own health while doing good damage.</P> <P>Combined with you neither class will have to worry about that incoming damage as much anyway since you can handle the stuns and stifles for them and add DPS to either classes already decent damage, you also have the hate buff so either pet will be able to hold aggro, the only reason I would lean more towards necro is FD and rez which can be very convinient in a bad situation but honestly either class will be a good compliment because a summoner can be very flexible and you will add a lot of survivability to them.</P>
