View Full Version : Thoughts on Nizari (AP instance)
<DIV>Hey folks,</DIV> <DIV>I was curious if anyone was doing that instance in the adventure pack very much. I have been there two times now and my guildies are tellin me they won't go again. Both times we had about the same results. Killed 4~5 named, cleared tons of trash, died enough to require 2 repair kits each by the time we were done.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Total loots from named both times, all but one mob dropped wood. One master chest each run.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now the group each time was well balanced with very experienced players in 90% fabled T7 gear. Zerker tank, warden, mystic, wizard, ranger and coercer(me).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>we found many bugs. Mobs that weren't in a room for one toon were there and agro for another etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>we fought the fire guy with his four helpers the first time we went in there and wiped big time on him. THe second trip in we started fighting him and I charmed one of his helpers. We all wiped except for one toon (the warden) that ran. Now here's where it got interesting.. after I died, my pet kept fighting for me. In fact, he killed the other mobs, including the named and then reset as the sole remaining mob in the room. Talk about strange! (Has this happened to others and any thoughts on why?)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>we revived and grbbed him real fast and killed him, wooden chest but at least the encounter was clear. We also got a message saying a path was open but the force field there was still up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This zone has me intriuged. I like a challenge but I'm not willing to keep talking my guildies into going there just to frustrate them unless there were better rewards waiting. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any input would be great <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>Vyndion</DIV>

I actually still run this instance for guildies. With a good group, it's really not a challenge until the boss now, I am pretty sure they nerfed mob hp and attack power. The only mobs I really mezzed were the last two adds that come with the final boss. Charm isn't really all that useful in there, it tends to break (with master charm/50++ subjugation), and you won't finish an encounter for possible legendary/fabled. DO go in there with (my preferred group) 1 Plate Tank 1 Brawler 1 Druid 1 Shaman/Cleric 1 Coercer 1 DPS (brigand or ranged dps due to high dmg AE's on certain mobs) The only time we wiped most recently was on a bad pull during the final level 75 named. Being well geared helps a lot. That being said, still bring 1 repair kit for each person just for safe keeping! <div></div>

<DIV>Well this zone trivial if you have combo bard+enchanter - personal favorite</DIV> <DIV>Zerker-Dirge-Coercer-Warden-Mystic-Brigand...Daydream make some places easy a lot, permanent charm kinda worthless but charm 1 of encounter then kill it in the end work nicely</DIV><p>Message Edited by Tanatus on <span class=date_text>08-29-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:07 PM</span>

I don't take anyone in there with me that wants anything other than the challenge as I can't carry people - everyone has to pull their weight. As for the treasures, everytime I go we drop 3-4 legendary chests and a master. As few people take the time or possess the skill for the zone, you make pretty good coin selling what you don't need/want.</div>

<P>I love Nizara :smileyhappy:</P> <P>It's one of the few zones left that is still challenging, and more than anything else, fun!!</P> <P>I do Nizara twice a week, once on my illusionist and once on my coercer, and they both do well in there. Yes, the first times we did it we died a lot, and then some, but after a few times you will learn how to avoid the bugs, how to deal with the different encounters, which resists you need, when to keep at a distance, and so forth. Don't give up after 2 runs, go back there, learn the zone - it's well worth it. Although most of the loot quickly becomes pretty ordinary, there is a chance for some very, very nice and rare drops. While going with a small core of people who now know the zone well - and enjoy it as much as I do - we also try to take 1 or 2 "new" guildies through on each run, so they all get a chance to completee the rift quest and experience the zone. This means that my groups vary quite a bit, but typically it's along the following lines:</P> <P>Guardian/zerker</P> <P>Templar</P> <P>Mystic/warden/defiler</P> <P>Coercer/illusionist</P> <P>2 DPS (mages, scouts, fighters)</P> <P>Try to make sure that you have at least one debuffing class in this mix, and decent DPS from whatever combo of mages, scouts and fighters you take along. Once you learn the zone, you'll never want to leave again <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

It is easier then it looks!</P> <P>OH btw two coercer was great fun on the end boss we charmed one add each and made em attack the boss bye bye adds! and then bye bye boss! </P>

Can't recommend daydream in that zone...last thing you want is to run into or aggro mobs you tiptoed by earlier. <div></div>

<P>Ever used Daydream skill at all?</P> <P>I use this skill all the time not only Nizara - mobs wont agro on you as long as you stay outside of agro radius. But with what I do agree - no reason to leave any mobs behind - agro [Removed for Content] in this zone</P>
