Enraging Demeanor Range

Its 10 m to be able to cast it but its zonewide as far as I know.

Yeah, i assumed that was the case myself. However, when I saw the Dirges buff icon disappear from my screen when he ran 10m away from me, I started to worry about ours.

I've never seen the target text for Demeanor (in the maintained spells window) switch over from the name of the tank to "Out of Range" as long as we've both been in the same zone, so my guess is there aren't any range issues with it.

Yeah, I was standing over by the mages in many raids... and was perusing the buffs on the MT to see if someone was putting up a reactive on the MT, and thus grabbing aggro when they shouldn't. Always saw my buff up there, so as far as I know it's zonewide.

<P>Just because the buff icon is there doesn't mean it's working though.</P> <P>My assassin has hate transfer, and I always see the icon on the tank.  However, if I go too far away, it's no longer transfering hate.</P> <P>How do I know?  If I pull a mob with a low damage attack or a detaunt, and then hit another detaunt, it puts my hate lower than whoever I have my hate transfer on and the mob goes straight for them (fun trick to play on groupmates or a tank that's pulling too slow).  If I move too far away and I try this though, the mob stays on me.  Thus I know the transfer doesn't work past a certain range, I just haven't experimented enough to know what that range is.</P> <P>I'm not saying enraging demeanor works the same way, just to be careful of assuming it's working just because the icon is there.</P>

Just like every other permanent ("until canceled") single target buff in the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And that hate transfer thing happens becuase of encounter range limits (the one they put in to stop HOs from popping up when ur too far from ur group). The tank is not considered part of the encounter, so the hate doesnt get transferred.</DIV>

If its on a ranged dps (wizard) who stands just outside the 30m range from the Pally but is still capable of hitting the mob with nukes, the pally is not getting the hate. This is why when I play my pally I sometimes have to ask my amends target to please stay a little closer if I notice I'm losing agro to them!<BR>

Yes, the buff icon is on, but it is not transferring hate while the target is out of the 30m range. I believe its 30m, could be 25m.

<P>Well the MT knows how to call for burn when he's got the hate buff on... I've had a phonecall just before a pull once where I wasn't finished bufffing and they didn't hear me say I was gonna be away a moment, and the MT called burn after generating hate like he would normally and wizards died.</P> <P>So yeah, we know when it's not working... and it works fine when I'm really far away.</P> <P> </P> <P>I think it would say "out of range" when highlighting the icon in maintained window if it wasn't working anymore.</P>
