<DIV>I am level 43, and I was grouped last night with a few guildies,  a level 38 warden and brigand (both of whom dinged 39) and one level 35 warlock. We went off to LS for some fun. I charmed one of the level 42/43 goblins from the first cave, and we proceeded to kill mobs mostly for writs and quests. Nothing too spectacularly difficult.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Eventually my pet died, and so I went to grab another one. This time I charmed a level 45 lava crawler. We buffed it up, pulled, killed the group, and went to move on, when the lvl 35 warlock said he hadn't gotten experience. The only thing that had changed since the last kill was the warden had dinged, and I had a new pet. We don't think the warden, who was in the middle of the level range, would affect him getting experience, so we decided to pull again. Again, the warlock didn't get any experience. We canned the pet, then the warlock disbanded, and joined again. No message about not getting experience.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As long as I kept my pets under level 43 (my level) the warlock would get experience, but if I charmed anything higher than 43, he wouldn't. Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I think this is just a bit... off. My pets level should not affect whether or not someone in my group is getting experience. I didnt mind charming lower level stuff when I'm with lower level people, but it did kind of limit us on what we could and couldn't kill. I was a little grumpy that I couldn't use my higher level pets as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So has anyone else noticed this? I know its a pretty rare occurance that the highest level in the group is the coercer, and that they are charming even higher level mobs, but it is something that is going to affect my ability to hang out with my guildmates.</DIV>

<DIV>Known issue, the Warlock was level 35, if any member(s) or pet(s) is above the 10 level limit over the lowest member(s).  That member(s) will not get any experience.  I would suggest you charm something a little lower.  The Lava Crawler may have been 46 since at 43, orange cons do not start until 47.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Power 70 Coercer -Kithicor- </DIV> <DIV><Eternal Darkness></DIV>

The lowest member of the party has to have 75% of the levels of the highest. So, at level 40, you can group with someone level 30. At 35, it'd be more than ten levels above you, it caps at 15 levels, not at 10.<div></div>

<P>Not exactly true.</P> <P>A level 60 can group with a level 47 and the 47 will still get experience.</P> <P>At level 70, you can group with a 56 and still get experience (i believe, haven't really tested it).</P> <P> </P> <P>It does scale up as you level up. But thats not even the problem. The problem (IMHO its a problem) is that my higher level pet (PET!) was preventing my groupmate from getting experience, when he was getting experience just fine without the pet around. My pet's level shouldn't affect the group level in anyway. If that were true, why can't I charm a low level mob and have my average group level drop so i can kill nameds that were previously grey to me? Its illogical to even think I should be able to do that (and i'm NOT asking for that!) so why is it working the other direction?</P>
