<DIV><FONT size=2> <P>I am a lvl 23 coercer now. My Coerce spell is adept 1. I dont have the palladium needed to creates an adept iii (I dont even have the book), and no Master nor adept 3 are for sale at any broker (Freeport or Queynos) on my server since at least a month.</P> <P>In other words, I cant actually rely on a charm spell higher than adept 1.</P> <P>So, whats the best strategy, when soloing, with my charmed pet? Actually, I got tired to loose the charm at the worst moment during a fight, so my strategy is:</P> <P>1- I charm a mob, anyone, near me. </P> <P>2- I use my charmed pet to attack another mob</P> <P>3- When the mob is dead, my charmed pet is wounded, so I uncharmed it and kill it.</P> <P>4- Repeat step one</P> <P>I realised that my pet -always- break the charm after the first fight, but never during the first one, so I use them for only one fight. I never ever got a pet charmed at its full duration. </P> <P>When I come to fight a link of 3 mobs, I charm one mob, send it to attack the second one while I stun the 3rd one. When the first 2 mobs are dead, I kill the already pretty wounded charmed and get my encounter bonus.</P> <P>Any better strategy? Am I doing good with what I have (still at a newb state)?</P></FONT></DIV>

<P>Not sure if you knew this or not, but make sure you turn off your mental buff. I didn't do that in the early levels, and pets broke all the time. It was a HUGE difference when I turned my buff off. It is actually rare when charm breaks for me now. I am in the same boat as you, with using adept 1. I want to get an adept 3 but not sure how much better the pet would actually be. Plus, rares cost an arm and a leg on my server.</P> <P> </P>

Was it on purpose, or was it a bug (since it should be fix in the next LU, I guess its a bug). Thanks for this information, it is a real good thing to know!<div></div>

Thanks for this information, it is a real good thing to know!<div></div><hr></blockquote>Not really a bug since the buff was doing what it was intended to do: raise resists.However, the raised resist means that there is a higher chance of failing those periodic resist checks.So I see it being changed as more of a convenience/common sense thing then a bug fix.</div>
