In you rpet window, there is a grey icon that looks like a skull. That will "kill" your charm. Then you must kill the pet manually.
Thanks Signal. I didnt even look at the pet window. I normally just drag the icons I use to my hotbar. So that was forgetten, hehe.Mal<div></div>

<div></div>Just hit the charm button again <span>:smileytongue:</span><div></div>
Do all ways of dispelling pets work the same way? I've right-click cancelled the charm from maintained spells. I've used the Dismiss Pet button, and I've toggled charm. I notice upon occasion that the pet gets a load of health back when I cancel the charm, and I've yet to determine if it is how I dispel them that does that.<div></div>

I remember reading on the boards somewhere that if you charm like.. a heroic pet, when you charm it it gets gimped down to the hp/stats of a regular mob. Then, when you break charm on it it goes back to being a heroic mob, and having more HP as a heroic mob, you see it's HP % jump up. Not positive if this is true, but that might be why you're seeing an HP boost sometimes on breaking charm. <div></div>

you are correct Celes, a heroic mob that is charmed loses about 80% of its hitpoints, and gets its dmg output reduced by about half. Those are round numbers, but are fairly accurate, so that is why you see the HPs jump back if you have a heroic. Occasionally the HPs will go all the way to full also, not sure why it happens sometimes and other times not, could be the way you dismiss the pet...

What I want to know is how to I break the charm that a mob has used on a group/raid member. When a gazer in DT has charmed the MT, it would be nice to be able to break it somehow. Dispel Magic, of course, does nothing.<div></div>

That would be a great ability Sac, I was in DT the other night and our MT got charmed, I tried cancel magic and of course like you said, it did nothing. I also tried to charm the MT with my own spell, thinking that perhaps that would do the trick. The Icon stuck on him, but I had no pet window to control him, and it seemed that he was still charmed by the mob. Next time I will try some other stuff to see if anything happens.
I was a little disapointed myself when I tried to charm our charmed PC and got nothing. We just normally go for a mez and let an off tank pick up the mob and then camp off the inevitable combat lock bug.

<DIV>When did that change? I remember trying to cure my pet of a magic dot, and cured my own charm on it. Technically they're no longer a friend, so you shouldn't be able to cast cure arcane on them. I suspect they're also not correctly classed as enemy, so dispel magic doesn't work either. In order for them to be correctly classed as enemy I think they would have to be removed from the group, which brings out a whole new set of problems.I'd be interested to hear some info from PvP players. Does dispel magic break a coercer's charm in PvP (what about duels)?<div></div>
