<DIV>Ok, I'm stuck at work for a while longer.  Has anyone come to conclusions about the functionality of Daze yet?</DIV>

I honestly couldn't tell if it was doing anything or not, since it lasts such a short time. Even if it does technically work, it's still useless.

I cast Ego Blast on a target last night while solo'ing. It did damage. It did not Daze. There was no resist message.IMO the ability is currently broken, not working at all.So, I can't offer an opinion on something I haven't seen yet. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Have it use only if mob moves toward you and you are in staitionary position. Thanks for dump NPC AI that not execute any CA/Spells on run.... Basically if you have your root resist - you land Daze then land Root w/o moving then step back. Personally I liked casting Counfoundment on the run in such occasions</DIV>

<DIV>I like the root much better.  It was definetly better at crowd control.  More reliable. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What really gets me fustrated are the recast timers.  I feel that they have taken away some of our crowd control abilities.  AE mez timer has been way increased, and one of our roots no longer roots.    </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When someone in the group breaks the AE mez by accident, look out, it may be 15 seconds before we can lock them back down.  Sure single mez still works, but when you have 2+ groups on ya, its now considered a wipe.  I was a master of crowd control, now I'm a master of delayed death.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thx SOE</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Daze is usefull - the only problem is duration and recast but its not only for Daze but for stuns and mezes too

<DIV>Daze is awesome, noticeable difference in the damage I can prevent from multimob encounters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Encounter Daze, Encounter Stun, PBAOE Stun = alot of damage prevented.</DIV>

<P>So I have to ask...</P> <P> </P> <P>Are you soloing heroics or solo mobs when you're complaining about this?  From a grouping perspective this spell is a huge upgrade because the root was practically useless.  From a solo'ng solo mobs perspective you should be doing enough damage to them to kill them easily.</P> <P> </P> <P>Soloing Heroic's got harder.  Alot harder.  Not impossible (had a fun time soloing the portal guard named in Forsaken City) but definitely harder.  Thats not a bad thing.<BR></P> <BLOCKQUOTE> <HR> Signal9 wrote:<BR> <BR> <BLOCKQUOTE> <HR> Fiercemind wrote:<BR> <DIV>I like the root much better. I was a master of crowd control, now I'm a master of delayed death.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thx SOE</DIV> <DIV> </DIV><BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE> <P><BR>Ok, after doing a bit of testing last night, I am officially of the position that Daze is the stupidest ability change that could have been made.  It is functionally useless, and serves no purpose at all.  It does no good at all to turn off a mob's ability to melee attack me during the time he's [Removed for Content]'g running to me, and can't melee anyway!</P> <P>This is a huge hole in our abilities.  Previously, we could open with the nuke/root, and have just enough time to get a fe wdebuffs on before the mob comes in to melee.  You know, debuffs like oh...our reactives?  Now we give up a few free hits while trying to get these on the mob.  If we try to root, then debuff, then start attacking, we'll need to reapply the melee reactive just as soon as the mob reaches us, or it will expire shortly thereafter.  I'm NOT liking what I'm seeing at all.</P><BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE><BR>

<DIV>Well soloing not became a harder per se... Because root have Daze 8s built-in and mob cannt cast CA/Spell on a run - now its definitely take a bit more causion then you root-rot mob but in the light of fact that all mez immunity been lifted (heroic mobs still immune to stun). More over lifting mez immunity giving you opportunity trivilize soloing few named that were overwise tricky to kill</DIV>
