<DIV>I know, lets cut all heals in half and up thier re-use timer X4! That way, groups that have 2 healers will die when they get adds, and therefore need us enchanters! After that cut down all the DPS gamewide, and have mobs that are immune to any weapon held in the right and left hands. Oooooh! That's the ticket! Hrm, wait....i forgot about class balaning issues. Ah! I know, Wizards/ Warlocks now cast times are increased by 4 and have 200% aggro added in, while every successful spell makes that mob immune to any spell even remotely resembling it! MMMMMMmmmm, now thats some balance....oh wait, I forgot about the pet classes. Lets make all the pets proc heals for the mob, ya know....to make the game more challenging and increase the longevity! I miss anyone.....ah yeah....you poor silly tanks and your HP....yeah thats gonna have to go. Lets see, well, since the tanks have less HP we're gonna have to reduce those wards....yeah, now we're rolling! We should do away with avoidance all together, who needs to dodge a hit when you can revive?! On the upside we're going to increase the amount of xp it takes to level, so you can spend even more time in Norrath! WOOT! You didn't need those pesky wives or kids....and you proly didn't need that job anyway. Come, spend your hard earned money, sink your time in, the reward is well worth it! You get all the bonus of playing, and half the satisfaction of succeeding!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My point here, nerfing isn't the answer. As a 70 coercer, I find that nerfing my normal play to 'up' my raid productivity is alot like cutting off my my fingers so my gloves will fit right. Maybe I went a bit overboard with the sarcasm, but I feel its warranted after having played a paladin to 50 only to get hit with LU13 and now this. Pretty sure my days of paying to play EQ2 are numbered, I'll give it a go on Live, but after having diddled around on test for a few days, I've pretty much made up my mind to stop this acct. I sure wish it hadn't had to go to this extreme to make us a viable raider class, and it probably didn't. This is in my opinion, an unwarranted redesign of the whole enchanter classes</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Daedron on <span class=date_text>06-14-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:18 AM</span>

<DIV>Take it how you want, I just refuse to relearn yet another class, due to lack of imagination from the devs. </DIV>

<DIV>I agree. My days may be numbered as well. The changes they have implemented should help the raiders, but has really hurt the soloing potion of the game. I would guess that I solo between 70-80 percent of the time (making me the average player). This post is written more towards the changes of the game play while soloing a coercer (most of us spend the majority of our time doing this). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They have really slowed down the soloing capabilities of a coercer. Lets do a quick recap: (If I'm wrong on a few numbers feel free to correct me, I'm going by memory of my last login since the update.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EGO LINE (I used to use a lot, now very seldom)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Positive: </DIV> <DIV> 1) Now does an AE (is nice in itself)</DIV> <DIV>Negative: </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) Has a much longer recast timer. </DIV> <DIV>2) Lower damage amount (unless you have multiple mobs).</DIV> <DIV>3) It draws agro from the other mobs, which your pet had astablished. </DIV> <DIV> Now you become a meat shield for your pet (hmmm /tells SOE silk class <> tank)</DIV> <DIV> (SOE's thinking. Since the coercer now has agro, lets make sure he keeps it. Lets take away counfoundment's hate reducer.)</DIV> <DIV>4) The daze component slows your dps, since your reactives will no longer fire. The root was much nicer, which allowed the mob to hit your pet thus taking dmg from your reactives.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mez Line:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Positive: </DIV> <DIV>1) If grouped. The AEs will not break it unless cast upon.</DIV> <DIV> (I solo most of the time, so this doesn't really help me much). When grouped, I mostly mez the 2nd group adds (very rarely mobs in the current encounter).</DIV> <DIV> People generaly don't break the 2nd group adds, except someone trying to OT. Which will still get broken.</DIV> <DIV>2) Does seem to mez the whole encounter, but with the increase in resists get ready to be a meatshield for your pet again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Huge Negative: </DIV> <DIV> 1) Long recast timer. I can no longer use this as a backup mez, when my single mez fails or having multiple groups on me. </DIV> <DIV>Example: During a pull you get two groups (seems like they have changed some areas where I could single pull with a pet). I lock down one group with the AE mez. Now I turn to assist my pet (assuming he got agro from the whole group, I give this a 50/50 chance). Once I assist him, I get agro from the rest of the mobs from the original pull. Especially if i use the now defunct EGO or Confoundment line of spells. I can't use my AE mez, since I already used it the 2nd group adds.</DIV> <DIV>2) Easier to resist then before.</DIV> <DIV>3) Can't lock down 2 groups successfully using this spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Counfoundment:</DIV> <DIV>Positive: </DIV> <DIV>1) Stuns multiple targets.</DIV> <DIV>Negative:</DIV> <DIV>1) No hate reduction (which is why I used this spell). </DIV> <DIV>2) Using this spell may steal agro from multiple mobs, thus making you a meat shield for your pet. Hope you haven't had to use your AE mez already. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Focus line (stun).</DIV> <DIV>Negative: Shorter Duration.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sonic Boom.</DIV> <DIV>Negative: Shorter Duration on the stun effect.</DIV> <DIV>.......</DIV> <DIV>This post is unfinished. I'm tired atm.</DIV> <DIV>I Will try to come back later and finish this post. I will try to better recap the changes and the effects. </DIV><p>Message Edited by Fiercemind on <span class=date_text>06-16-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:45 PM</span>
