<DIV>dunno how many of you have Domination, but I know I dont, and I havent seen this spell drop...ever...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>on test they are making Dominate become more resistant on mobs above level 67...so great!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>now if our spells dont drop ...we gunna get funked...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>what you think? they need to increase the drop rate on master version of this spell or something...imo.../shrug, just never seen it or sonic boom drop!</DIV>

Its the exact same as it is now on Live as it is on Test except that silly part you read.Read it again and you will see what I mean.Nothing will change with Charm in LU24 that matters to anyone.</div>

Assuming charms are like the other spells shown in the second screenshot in <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=27&message.id=12544&page=2" target=_blank>this</a> thread, they'll be more resistable on mobs higher than spell level+20. I can sort of see why this change is being made, since as it stands currently, there isn't much reason to upgrade many of our spells if you have the previous tier's master version; currently, of my CC spells, I'm still using the T4 single-target and group mezzes and T5 charm and stifle.This seems like a clumsy and heavy-handed way of forcing people to upgrade, though, and I would rather have seen them add some sort of positive incentive to upgrade, like nearly every other class in the game has. It's pretty obvious that many people don't feel that a miniscule duration/power drain/other pointless effect increase is worth upgrading for, but instead of finding some way to make the spell upgrades actually worthwhile, the developers are taking the easy way and adding artificial ceilings. (I also have to admit to some personal concern, since I've never so much as heard of a Domination M1 dropping on my server...)
