Hi folks! I am coming back into the game and aside from doing something different in playing a halfling coercer (i have yet to betray, but should have that done by the end of the weekend!) I'm playing a class I've never played before! So any tips, tricks, or suggestions on what spells I should be looking to upgrade, and what kind of gear I should be looking into? And as a preemptive strike... please no silly "Just quit now" kind of comments. I have always been interested in the coercer and I am in this, LU24 or not! <div></div>

A large bit of what you'll do is just watching your pet fight and assist him. So, charm yourself a yellow mob, preferrably without arrows. Mobs lose their arrows once charmed, in all aspects except their power pool. That isn't worth the risk, usually.Send the pet in on what you want to kill. Stun, stifle, dot the mob. If your pet gets in trouble, cancel your dots, back it off, mez the mob. Wait til your stuns are up again and then stun the mob and sent the pet back in. Mez when stuns are down. Rinse and repeat. It isn't flashy. It isn't all that exciting. Not really all that fast, but it is pretty bread & butter.<div></div>

i myself started a coercer today, he is lvl 5 now.  i must say so far he seems able to maintain good order with adds and all that jazz.  pulling an encounter by charming one and sending it back on it's former team is always fun stuff.  being able to switch charmed mobs is definately going to be a fun trick to master... use every pet til the end then root/mez the mob that killed it, charm and repeat.  the newly charmed will usually die faster this way and you can just keep the cycle going.  so far i am having fun... have yet to see if LU24 is going to affect me majorly or not seeing as i do not raid.

Read the new FAQ Have a LOT of patience, the flow, speed, timing of the chanter is not like any other class including the other mages.  Once you get the feel / timing, don't force it. join the nektulos.coercer worldwide channel that's enough to get you to 70 willbender <div></div>
