well thats something anyway, thanks for the post, it sort of gets rid of one problem and creates another though, I dont see how having enraging demeanor on more than one person would be a benefit, though it might be on a raid with two tanks /shrug. I just really hope they dont decide to increase the recast time of psychic wail

I played my test coercer today and have some observations. The Breakdown change is interesting. That's about it for that one though. The changes to the link line and demeanor line seem odd to me though. Currently on Live we have Enraging Demeanor which is a single target buff that can be cast on more than one group member and requires a conc for each. We also have Harmonious Link (damage shield for spell damage) which can only be maintained on one person and requires no concentration. On test, Enraging Demeanor can only be maintained on one person and requires no concentration. (Makes sense...we don't really need to have it on more than one person anyway) But on test we also have Harmonious Link requiring one conc, which is still the same damage shield and adds a hate reduction to the target. This means I can't use it on my pet or the tank. I can use it on various casters, scouts, or healers for a conc slot each which could be useful (I really do like the hate reduction idea), but combining it with a damage shield just seems silly. Why would it be useful to give someone a damage shield when we don't want them to get agro? Can anyone help me to understand what I might be missing? It would make more sense to have a damage shield combined with the dps boost line...at least most of the people who are buffed with that are fighting near the mob and might be hit by AEs.

Message Edited by Mausie on 06-03-2006 03:18 PM

Message Edited by Mausie on 06-03-2006 03:22 PM

On the test server does the damage caused by the damage shield add to damage caused by the character the spell is cast on or to the Coercer that cast the spell?

PluvianMist wrote:

On the test server does the damage caused by the damage shield add to damage caused by the character the spell is cast on or to the Coercer that cast the spell?

Thats a good question. It's a positive change IMO. The way I see it, Enraging Demeanor/Harmonius Link is basically a tradeoff of conc slots, but casting HL on multiple people (assuming the coercer doesn't gain massive agro) is alot more useful than the ability of having ED on mutliple people. From a raiding pov, there's simply not many encounters that require mutiple tanks.. and even less so in 6 man groups.

Don't be wasting that wonderful DPS buff on an assassin !!!!!

They can already selfbuff their DPS. Give it to us poor rangers that need all the help we can get lol. Monk'eys are a good choice also since they selfbuff haste like rangers and need help with DPS modifiers.

Also I love my new baby coercer. He is alot of fun to play
