Posession... any use?

I haven't had the spell for long, but I can't seem to find a good use for it, half the time the mob isn't worth xp... you can't use it to take a mob that's in the fight all ready... and it always messes with the group (which can be a good thing)... has anyone found a good use for this spell?<div></div>

1)  Running mobs off the edges of island in KoS2)  Possessing mobs to see what their abilites/health areI haven't tried it, but you might be able to possess a mob that you know is a healer and have it heal you or some such thing.In general, it is little better than a fun spell.  I have no idea what Lockeye was thinking when he made the spell.  I hope it does not portend how future spells for coercers will be.<div></div>

It seems like it used to work for me just fine, but lately, as soon as I pop back into my own body, all the mobs come back really fast, including the one I possessed.</P> <P>Also, I tried a similar tactic in Lavastorm, running giants into the lava. The first time I did it, I took some damage when the giant hit the lava, but the giant was gone after that. The next time I tried it, the giant survived, but I died, as if I just ran myself into the lava without ever possessing the giant at all.</P> <P>Possession seems a little buggy to me, but is fun nonetheless.</P>

dude this is hands down my favorite spell ever, i LOVE it. ways I use it: 1) toss mobs off cliffs/high places 2) move mobs onto afk people that [Removed for Content] me off in the past 3) in SoS, I was able to solo all the way down through the entire zone with this being the MOST casted spell. you can Possesion a mob, move it behind you, cancel the spell, and move past to where it will reset to, basicially disabling a mob temporarily 4) disabling more mobs 5) moving mobs out of my way 6) In Vault of Elerad, I can toss mobs down to the 1st floor 1 shotting them. what would take my group 1 min to do per mob, I can do in 4 seconds. 7) inspect mobs ability, see what they can do i love it its really good compaired to my paladin's lvl 65 ancient spell.. his sucks bad, its a self only cure, that I can do only once every 3 minutes, that consumes 7% of my power pool, and takes 2 seconds to cast, and easily gets interrupted when I tank.. now that is a WORTHLESS lvl 65 ancient, heh <div></div>

much dead at this point.  But omg it was worth it!  I just busted out the calculator.  Total damage done was 44,550!  First hit landed at 13:03:43 2006 and last hit before possession ended was approx 13:03:56 2006.  So in approx 14sec I did over 44k damage.  That's 3182 dps =p.  Possession actually lasts a total of 32 seconds, but it took a little bit for me to run him over there and start laying the smackdown, plus there is a chance for it to break early which I think it might have.  But even if you count the whole duration 44,550 / 32s = 1392 dps.  God that was fun.  I really don't know why anyone wouldn't love this spell.  It has about as many uses as you can put your imagination toward.<BR><BR></DIV>

Have certain use for raiding  <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> in some places ..... make some otherwise hard fights more or less trivial
