<DIV>ive been going over some of the various posts for best pets pr zone etc, looking for high dmg output.</DIV> <DIV>as ive been going through all the tiers, i have yet to be lucky enough to drop or find a master charm on broker, so ive always used adept 3's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>recently a friend of mine started a coercer and was lucky enough to find a master on the broker.</DIV> <DIV>as an example ( we went through several pet types and zones together ) the warlock orbs in ts regularly nuked around 500 for him, and could go even higher. that was without debuffing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>at adept 3 the max damage i ever saw on one, while debuffed or not, was around 290.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>basically the damage output seemed to be around 2-3 X times as high with the master spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>anyone who can confirm this ?</DIV>

<DIV>I have read that this is the case with the Master charm DPS vs adept 3 charm DPS. I havent been able tot test it myself though, as my master charm is still 3 levels away from being useable.</DIV>

It's somewhere around there, yes. Some spells seem to have very odd damage ranges, though; one example is Refusal of Grace from Paladin-type mobs, which I've seen hit for over 3000 non-critical damage from a low 40s mob at M1 charm quality. Either the data in the Paladin spell list is very far off (possible, though it was updated in February of this year) or something is strange in the scaling of this spell, because that list shows M1 Refusal as having a damage range of 496-827 with 233 INT. On the other hand, damage from some spells, primarily Warlock spells, seems low compared to what my Warlock guildmates say they can do. Charmed Fury nukes, though, seem exactly in line with what my Fury guildmate's nukes do--maybe a bit higher, but she doesn't have an INT-focused equipment setup.

<DIV>Yes its how charm work</DIV> <DIV>Adept 1 : Adept 3 : Master 1 = 1: 3: 9 </DIV> <DIV>aka damage of pet with M1 charm roughly 9X higher then damage of pet with Adept 1</DIV>

[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn], certainly puts a whole new emphasis on finding that master.

Does it matter which level the master spell is? For example is a Coerce (lvl20) Master 1 still better than a Dominate Adept 3 (except for duration and regeneration)?

<DIV>Yes that mean Coerce M1 (lvl 20) better then Domination Adept 3 (lvl 61) in terms of damage output of pet</DIV>

I think there is a level restriction on the different coerce spells.

do ya get more resists on casting the charm or more random charm breaks using a lvl 20 spell on a lvl 70 mob? <div></div>
