Personally, I love spell proc items, like Anuk weapons and now in KoS there's planty of nice weapons/items with procs on hostile spell. However, I have noticed that even our mez lines are triggering "hostile spell" procs. I am not sure if procs happen only on sucessful spells - eg if spell was to be resisted item wouldn't proc at all. It appears that procs happens before mez lands so its ok, but:- What would happen if proc would get triggered when we are re-mezzing mob and mez after gets resisted? Effectively we'd break our own mez with our proc that way. Never happened to me tho.- If you have another person in the group/raid who is mezzing same mobs, your proc will break mez of that other player for sure. Happened to me lots of times.- If someone would cast debuff on the mob that doesn't break the mez, and he/she gets spell proc with DD again your mez would be broken.- Also when you have to keep mobs mezzed for a longer period of time and you end up procing a lot during re-mez you will build higher hate than if we didn't have the procs.Of course, I am talking about dd procs as issue. Fact that mez is triggering effects that are reducting hate is actually handy. Thinking about all of that, in perfect eq2 world, mobs that are mezzed would be just immune to procs - you get msg immune if you proc while casting whatever on the mezzed mob. What do rest of you enchanters think about it all? And what solution are you suggesting. Simple one, of course, is not to use DD spell proc items if you want to do CC.
