<div>It may have been asked or even hotly discussed, and if so I missed it an apologize in advance.</div><div>In any case, I am going to start up a coercer today and I had two questions regarding charm:</div><div>1. is it a viable alternate means for crowd control? Obviously this would be when I grouped only</div><div>2.</div>

As far as having your Charm it's great when grouping and also Great when soloing but be aware it can turn on you in fighting1. Comes in handy when there are a lot of adds to use for your self as an extra person to fight at your side with you or your group.2. As far as crowd control, your always better off mezzing but if you experience more adds on top of it mezz the add, group mezz the others ( or single mezz if it is one target ) then charm the add ( I prefer to charm the adds rather then waste more mana mezzing over and over...)3. Charm can be used for a lot of other things two these are just what related to your question and i'm sure there will be updated answers to the ones I have given I can almost guarentee it LOLalso what was your second question????<div></div>

For your second QuestionYes it will always aggro you when charm breaks, but the more higher lvl your charm is from adept to master the less your charm is likely to break. ( meaning it will last longer for it's duration depending on the enemy and the lvl of charm you have or are charming )<div></div>

One thing i will say it's a blast of fun but there are downsides to are class such as raiding we're quite less fortunate as damage goes but for regen of mana we're one of the top in line for it. grouping and soloing we are really good with, which you will mainly be doing up until lvl 50+ raiding is way later on for the most part<div></div>

<div></div>Yeah, I was reading about the raiding ineffectiveness. However, sometimes its better to play the class that needs help versus the ones in the nerf crosshairs...

OOOO trust me when i say this there are some nerf's we have had trust me but for the most part in general i know a few illusionists that are lvl 60 right now that are considering changing to coercers knowing they can do so. Only thing stopping them is the fact that there spells will change to apprentice 1's lol. and there 51-60 spells they wont have at all rofl. One of are biggest disputes or at least mine is are lvl 50 fun spell i just got at lvl 52 and it doesn't work. Just found out what it does ( makes people bow to you or something) i'm dieing to see it lolAlso on the beta version are lvl 65 spell supposedly,I have been told makes you become the enemy for 30 seconds or something like that where your spells will change to there spell or attacks. Basically you become them for a short duration where you can make the target fight for you by becomming them. It's all vague the information I have been told but if that is the truth it will definetely be interesting...,<div></div>

<div></div>Oh yeah, I have read that they have been nerfed hard, I guess I mean its better to start something after the nerf bat(and pray it doesn't strike thrice?) versus one where every other board post brags about how many heroics they can solo.

LOL isn't that the truth all I ever hear are people bragging in this game how they can solo this and that. Don't get me wrong a good percentage probably have, so have I but it's not guarenteed everytime or i'd be 60 by now lol ( same with every other person in the game)<div></div>

<div></div>Yep. And it is definitley enticing to be able to appear 'uber' to yourself or others, but more important to me is having a toon with the skill set I have fun playing with. The real sad thing is not losing your 'powa' so much as having an ability that you really enjoyed and having it taken from you, at least imho. That is why I hesitate to get too involved in an MMO when it is first launched, as there are always changes but nothing as fundamental as the first 12 months or so.

<div></div><div>Looking through some other posts, it also seems as though you can charge mobs above your level... is this based more on the quality of the spell that you have?</div>

Yes you can charm I.E. red mobs with your charm but it is likely to break rather fast. At lvl 33 i charmed a lvl 42 and had it killed against another mob and gained 11% exp, but you have to have hit it for at least 1% of damage before doing so. You won't gain the exp off of it if you don't<div></div>
