<div>Yet another duo post/question :smileywink:</div><div> </div><div>Just like the thread says: Coercer/Warlock duo obtainable?</div><div> </div><div>I would think that w/ the Warlocks nuke ability and the coercers power to charm/stun/mezz adds that this would be possible. Just a thought though and any feedback is appreciated.</div><div> </div><div>Maybe after these replies my wife won't continue to want me to post these questions. :smileytongue:</div><div> </div><div> </div>

Yes, it makes a good combo.  Some things you may find more difficult - certain caster mobs, but in general, the Coercer will be debuffing, stunning, stifling and rooting, and the Warlock will be killing.  The 2 should be able to burn down just about anything very quickly.A warlock is good at killing things that can't touch him/her.  A coercer is good at making sure things don't touch the warlock.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Thanks for the reply Mandel.</p><p>I really think that I would enjoy the coercer. My wife and I are not looking into taking on epics or anything, just so regular XPing mobs and quests. I coercer sounds like a challenging class to play and one that I think I am gonna enjoy mastering.</p>

<div></div><p>any mage pair has the benifit of completing each others HO's as well as knowing more acuratly the effects of the HO .. ie AE effects... nukes, buffs ect.</p><p>Both classes roots dont override each other so its very east to keep a difficult mob still.  I duo'd with a wizard in EL days couple times doing those heroic spiders.  They hit hard either one of us could take maybee 3-4 swings before naptime.  Luckily we both had good macros going on so he knew to hold his root untill he needed it and save the mana for his firepower.  I have a macro that announces I'm starting the HO as well so he would save his nuke to finish it...  I know warlock not same as wizard but thats only example i have with a sorcerer. </p>

duoing pp with a warlock everyday.if the coercer knows his job there is no need for rooting mobs at all (except for the 5+mob encounters maybe <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />the duo is extremely well suited to kill anything non-epic at good speed without risk.

I agree, GLAARG.  I only mention root because the chanter roots are better than sorcerer ones.  Or so general opinion says.  You're totally right.  If the Coercer knows how to play, the mob will be stunned (and buddies mezzed) from engagement till death (funny how eq2 encounters are like marriage).<div></div>

If the coercer has m1 charm, he won't need root for the most time, and will do a good chunk of total damage himself. Additionally, charming a healer and doing some damage prevention via stuns replaces a tank and healer in the group. Additionally, warlocks do get a different buff instead of the usual int/another stat mage buff line, getting the full benefit of both persons' buff lines. So yes, Coercer+Warlock tends to work very very good. Any Coercer with ranged DPS works good. The warlock only needs discipline to not draw AE aggro, or breaking mez on heroic groups. Luckily the broodlings are still broken <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. Else this combo is great.Furrfoot60 Charmer
